Hi Guys, just wondering about this PRS.

I've been contributing since year 2017, and every year i top up RM 3k for tax relief. However, does this PRS give interest/dividend on our saving? because from what i see from the statements, the only changes is the NAV of the funds. and no other way to see whether my funds had benefited from the compounding interest.

If there is no interest/dividend from the PRS, therefore if 10 years down the road the NAV remain the same, means my funds didn't grow at all?

I'm total noob at PRS/unit trust so dont bombard me thanks.

In unit trust, there's no interest nor dividend. It is called income distribution.
Only money market fund is committed to pay out for monthly distribution.
Whether the fund will commit to declare distribution and how frequent will it be declaring, you need to read from the fund prospectus, PHS/PDS and fund factseet.

Thanks for explanation.

Where can we look at the income distribution? I'm contributing the CIMB Principle Ex Japan Equities (if i didnt called it wrong), and from the annual statements, i only saw the differences in the NAV and cannot find any income distribution. or should i look at other report?

I believe you're referring to Principal PRS Plus Asia Pacific Ex Japan Equity

Prospectus link: https://www.fundsupermart.com.my/fsmone/adm...usMYCPPRS5C.pdf
Annual report link: https://www.fundsupermart.com.my/fsmone/adm...tsMYCPPRS5C.pdf
PHS link: https://www.fundsupermart.com.my/fsmone/adm...ceMYCPPRS5C.pdf
FFS link: https://www.fundsupermart.com.my/fsmone/adm...etMYCPPRS5C.pdf

From Page 16 of the prospectus:
The fund distribution policy is: The Fund is not expected to pay any distribution.

Ok thanks, will read thru when have time.

Basically they're not expecting to pay any distribution from their income. So the RM 3k that i contributed each year is turned to the number of units i buy based on the the NAV.

Hi, I planned to open a prs account for my wife to enjoy the tax relief. Previously myself is register thru CIMB bank for Principal, physically at bank branch, and i always top up thru PPA website.

If i open an account for my wife, is it register a FSM account, then login and choose the approved funds for PRS tax relief? All thru FSM?

1 noob question, I’ve had been using PPA website to top up directly to my pre principal ex japan. Every time I top up RM3k, the nett fund utilised to purchase the prs was only at RM 2904.96, which mean the fees around RM100.

Just wondering if use FSM or other platform, will the fees lower?
Not that I mind on the fee of RM 100, since this just a once a year thingy, but just want to know the best option so that I can recommend others in future
