Added on December 4, 2011, 12:18 am@Acid i'm using HP drivers, it is pretty good, even though 800/1000 overclocking makes my PC shut down after like 30 mins of playin...

Damn, Acid, u found out my problem XD I thought that if i do as advised - Run as Admin, then set to coolest - i won't have to change it everytime. Guess i was wrong, sometimes it doesn't automatically set it up from start up. BTW, that driver that u recommended, 8.93 of that date - freaking awesome, best performance, stability and overclocking. Thanks, Acid XD I wish you'd just post everytime u change to a better driver cuz ur recommendations rule!

So Acid, should i do the same? Disable TubroBoost and Coolsesne? Doesn't that fix the CPU clock at 2.0 instead of 2.8?

I take back what i said about Leshcat's 11.11a driver. After a very clean install - performance is just as good as some other drivers. And it's not a pain in the ass to connect it to a TV via HDMI without dark lines on the side. Honestly, there ain't ntohin like playin Revelations and Batman a big TV thru HDMI, looks like an epic movie, even my small sisters watch how i play and don't say a word XD PES looks like a real football game, too

Acid, no you don't! You just have to install DSE file and that's it! It's supposed to be inside that package already, too. It def. is the most stable of all i tried, it never crashed or errored me at all. Plus, the only reasonn it don't have a signature is cuz it's a really long process to get one XD

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Dec 5 2011, 03:53 PM) The problem is that DSE only work with Window bootloader while i'm using GRUB bootloader. It is a driver great tho, but how to access Intel Graphic Control Panel? It's in C:\Windows\System32\GfxUI.exe. You can pin it to Start bar or any other bar

Oh, ok, i thought there were some FPS benefits Added on December 6, 2011, 12:57 pmWhich setting is the best for gaming in Coolsense? Coolest seems to block turboboost. Can i get rid of CoolSense altogether and control the CPU fan another way? This post has been edited by kAmilli: Dec 6 2011, 12:57 PM

Yeah, thanks guys, i just read up on NBR forums that TurboBoost yields almost no benefits for this kind of laptop. But logical cores?
Added on December 6, 2011, 4:01 pmBTW, Acid, i saw you on NBR, you were talkin to a dude about overvolting and how u can only do it for drivers before 11.10. Is it good to overvolt, how does it affect performance? Does it help overclocking ?

Yeah, it is def. better than HP, HP is out of date because signature for drivers takes really long time.
Added on December 6, 2011, 5:17 pmAcid can we overclock SandyBridge? And if we disable TurboBoost, doesn't it mean we basically cut 0.8MHZ from CPU performance?

Thanks again, guys. Acid, i heard 11.5 was really stable, but how is its performance in new Direct X9 games? Does it have same D3D driver? And is it better for overclocking than 11.8.3?

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Dec 6 2011, 07:23 PM) ^ i don't know.. i haven't use it since 11.8.3. D: Oh, ok. Acid, can u help me out? I don't know what i am doing wrong, installed DNA, increased voltage to 1.059 V, tried 840/1040 - i get stuck all the time IS there anything i might be doing wrong? Hell, now i tried with normal 800/1000 - still gettin stuck! Maybe trix is not compatible with Furmark? What software can i sue to measure the performance or score? haha, yeah, i just want to get some extra frames, cuz in games like AC and Batman there is always a zone where u just need like 5 more frames to not stutter... Yep, ULPS disabled. Is that good?

haha, i got stable 860/980 on 1.051, which is pretty cool for the core memory setting. Guy on NBR said core is more GPU-inducing, i guess i'll see Thanks Acid!

QUOTE(keyzjh @ Dec 6 2011, 10:56 PM) Just tested Leshcat driver on skyrim, works great. Leshcat mentioned a feature where you can switch between dynamic and fixed. But I can't see it in my switchable graphics properties. And last time when I was on DNA, OpenHardwareMonitor shows 100MHz for AMD card when it is turned off, but now it shows 0? Should I reinstall the driver? What model of DV6 do u have? if 6168Tx or another one he mentioned, u should log into your bios for that, change it, and then u will have the option inside the catalyst. On other dv6 laptops it doesn't work, like my 6001tx. About HardWare - maybe because the driver is not supported by them, don't worry, as long as you can play Skyrim means everything is alright. If you see any errors, fps drops, sudden crashes - you might wanna reinstall, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it This post has been edited by kAmilli: Dec 7 2011, 12:43 AM

I know this problem is very popular but can't find a solution I don't know for sure because the TurboCopy utility doesn't let me know, but 3 GB movie transfers in about 1 minute 30 seconds. That's lower than it should be, right?
