Wondering how come recently the big player like MCT having such issue which will affect their image. They should have rectify the issue and if really need to compensate due to late delivery the developer has to bear the responsibility. In fact it is not developer bear the cost because developer will charge a huge bill to the main contractor and main contractor charge on sub-con for late completion. This is market standard practice and none of the developer will do charity compensate to buyer themselves but not charging the main-con and sub-con for compensation of late delivery.

Besides that, another project was affect which is Seringin Residences at bukit jalil and project from Sxe Hxy Chxn. The build quality is really bad and water leaking happened in many units but this issue was covered up. The developer is now having court case with the main con due to this project issue. Pity the owner who bought the house at price more than 800k in low quality workmanship. My ex-colleague's company is one of the sub-con for Seringin project and this is insider's news.

In fact the market is quite shortage of "main con", many developers would not engage themselves to build the property instead they will pass to main-con to complete the project. And sometimes with limited options even the reputable developers may selecte the wrong main con. All buyers in fact do not the truth as all issues will be covered up.

That's why my ex-colleague reluctant to buy new property instead he bought a second hand terrence house which already 15 year-old. The build quality of today is lousier than 10 years ago generally.

Nowadays the new property is selling at ceiling high price but the build quality is not parallel to its price.
