Same here, picked it up this afternoon from GH. Thanks to this busy season I'll have a stack of incomplete games on my to do list by 2012.

Should definitely play this when you have completed your work or else you end up getting stressed up cause keep dying and then you rage quit. But after you quit then you cant concentrate on your work cause keep thinking of ideas how to kill the boss that you almost kill before this

you're probably right, already been killed by rats, skeletons, undead knights, flame bomb throwing zombies, and not to mention mini bosses. Something about the game keeps compelling me to return though. As it is, i'm at work looking online for playing tips..

Seeing a ghost just run around and then roll off an edge was... Interesting.

And as a parent playing this... When your kid cries... You're carrying a ton of souls, enemies around you... AND YOU CANT PAUSE! Just makes you stop and think if the kid can wait for a while...

Haha quite true, have to stop playing this game when your kid are awake before you lose your hard earned souls .

anyway those ghost are actually real players who are in the same area as you. A blood stain represents an image of a player before they die. Also if you see a bright white sign on the floor that means you can summon a player to coop with you. My experience is playing this game in PS3 but I think the concept should still be the same.

Yes, I know what the ghosts are, was just funny seeing a guy walk along a cliff then... Roll and fall off like he released the B button too early and rolled instead of sprint.

Haih you have no idea how a mistimed action can cause you. I was fighting a bunch of rat while behind me was a cliff when somehow i press the kick button, kicking while using a scimitar animation involves a backflip kick. Hence I backflip jumping into the cliff . The person who looks at my bloodstain probably will be enjoying himself laughing .

to anyone that play demon soul before on ps3. what is your recommendation for this title? 360 or ps3? my LIVE just expired. it will cost me a bomb.

Ya demons souls is ps3 exclusive and it been know as rpg not for faint hearted. I lost count how many times I died but rewarding when I completed it

I'm playing Dark Souls on PS3, if you want to have online experience you should go for PS3 then if you dont want to continue your LIVE account. I already tried coop with 2 other player as well as invading other player world which ended up to 2 vs 2 scenario, quite fun. Seems to be working fine with minor stuttering, not a major problem for me.

Not sure how LIVE online experience for this game, not many here tried this game yet.

I think I know the spot you are talking about, I took out the orange stone to write a message recommending people to just flee the poisonous rats. Then I forgot that I need to use DPAD to navigate the list, nearly backed off the cliff! After wiping my forehead of the sudden shock of nearly falling off.... the rats came out to bite me!!!

Those rats have a chance of dropping humanity though...

That's why I just run like hell away from them instead of trying to kill them

Well an easy way to kill them is lure them outside and you stand with your back towards the wall. Hit them once they would usually fall down the cliff and you'll get some soul hehe, though you would miss the chance to get some humanity drop from one of the rats though

Just to say that I emphatise with your earlier point on the game lacking a pause function. Having a howling baby while you're trying to recover the souls+humanity that you dropped because you died earlier is very tense. Good thing is there are lots of safe zones where you can just park your character.

You can QUIT THE GAME and restore at ALMOST the same point. I DO NOT know if your blood stain will be kept though!

just bought my dark souls from 1 of the forumer as well..been so stressed n yet addictive playing the game for the past few days lol..

hav a question, any1 know how to kill off the skeletons that keep reviving no matter time i kill them..dam frustrating ==

I like the way online play effects the game, even though I've not summoned anyone yet or been invaded by phantoms, I've gotten random vagrants (crablike things which shoot laserz! which are supposed to come about from other players dropping stuff or losing their souls/humanity.

Added on October 10, 2011, 4:52 pmYou mean the ones in the catacombs? You need to use weapons which do magic damage was what I was told when I was watching a friend play. I personally got killed so many times by the skeletons in the graveyard near the starting zone...
