The new civic 2012 still not launch in malaysia,already saw about 2012 civic,for me not so attractive if compared with current model.Thinking to get civic soon but stuck in between current model or 2012 model.Anyone here got information about civic 2012 specs?Ih latest model not so good..better get current model right before out of stock.please advice.thx

Now me car going under major process of B16A + LSD manual gearbox + CRV B20 BLock + launch control + vtec controller, 4-1 stainless 2.5 header and pipes... @_@ will take pics once its in the garage.

Get rid of the launch control n vtec controller n go for hondata...with the b20 ur gonna need it to retune..stock ecu not enuff to handle 2.0. Ur gonna have to redo ur ignition n fueling. Launch control n vtec controller are just unnecessary accesories.

N btw, hondata has launch control n vtec controller in it

EJ = CKD local, only has 4 doors variant. Usually is sohc small vtec.

EJ has 2 doors.. my cousin used to drive one....

+1 on the FC.. heard that it's the same on Vios too... Current gen has higher FC compared to the previous gen

hi all, anyone driving a Civic FD here? The 1.8S?

Recently a friend of mine has issues with his Civic. At first it all started with jerking when accelerating. As time goes by, the matter became worst. During stationary, sometimes when he hit the throttle, the car wont surge forward. It will stay still, then jerks and suddenly the car surged forward.

The SC already cleaned the throttle body 6 times and did a check on the ECU and no fault found. I suspect it has something to do with the gearbox and when my friend asked the SC guy to check the gearbox for him, the SC guy replied "Civic 2 tahun tak akan ada gearbox issue punya" And my friend being not a very car guy, don't dare to offend that SC guy because he scared his car will be harmed during the checking/service period.

What do you guys think? Anyone facing the same issue(s) here?

Is it from standstill the rev will move a bit before gear engage then jerk forward? and sometimes downshifting from 2nd to 1st will jerk(slow down then step throttle)?

If yes seems like a torque converter problem. Ask the SC to check and replace if faulty, it is a sign of torque converter dying. 

Any ideas to get more mileage and fuel efficiency ?

Yup. Standstill, slot into D then gradually increase throttle. Car wont move. Then all of sudden jerked then lurched to the front. I'm not sure about the second part but he pernah encounter engine stalled when he wants to accelerate.

I have the same suspicion too that its the torque converter has gone wonky. Just need to gather more feedback. Thank you for the reply.
