Haha!

And I heard Gianpaolo Pazzini is also available  doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif

Who knows? Pazzini might be our STAR STRIKER. He is Italian too  shocking.gif  shocking.gif  shocking.gif
*
sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif Well,we already got vucinic lah....well i guess at least pazzini's conversion rate is higher than any of our strikers....

I miss quag's fiery form before he got that big injury during new year....Everything was going damn well that time

p/s: to be honest i kinda miss Diego....if he somehow returns back to us....no doubt no 10 jersey will go to him.

Matri still got room for improvement actually. He needs to acquire that ruthlessness in front of goal like Vieri, Drogba, Henry etc.

If he manage to do that...woohoohooo...he's the italian version of Torres smile.gif.

lets not forget dat Matri has the potential to be our top striker if we failed to land anyone next season.
And his goal for Juve last season are rather crucial (udinese double strike, vs milan at san siro etc)

now with stronger SS with addition of Gio behind him and the stronger MF compared to last season...
he can get better. Simply said i have faith in Matri to be our main #9 next season

Yeap that's why I'm not too worried about our no. 9. Heck even Conte manage to beef up PDC to bulldoze his way on the flanks (well he's still as injury prone as ever doh.gif ). If Conte can whip up Matri to be more ruthless, we'll see a lot of goals coming because unlike other typical targetman, Matri has the speed. If matri can be as ruthless as Amori, i think he'll easily challenge Ibra and Toto for the golden boot. (Amoris ruthless in front of goal but his accuracy doh.gif )

Otherwise, we can always fall back to Quag. I hope see more of Giovinco this season. Can't wait for the season to start.

Now I wonder who will be the backup to Buffon, Storari or Leali.

I was hoping we can steal Santon from newcastle...but I guess its hopeless now. Santon just mentioned he will not leave newcastle as he just got used to the place there and he's doing good there.

Good for the national team, we got both fullback positions covered by WC 2014 with Santon and Cricsito.

similar role it seems. Buffon in UCL/Serie A, Storari for Coppa. Leali only came when both of em injured/suspended biggrin.gif

so Serie A / UCL
1. Buffon
2. Leali
3. Storari

Coppa
1. Storari
2. Leali
3. Manniger

I think Buffon still has that shoulder injury problem...he doesn't seem very comfortable to catch crosses in euro. In fact I din't see him catch any crosses. How many times did he punch out easily caught crosses in the match against england.

Added on July 10, 2012, 4:06 pmBtw, no 10 jersey given to Giovinco. Marc continues to be our no 8. according to wiki...

manninger was released on 30th June 2012. Not a spotlight since more focus on ADP departure on same day.
all no.17 wearer is shortlived since trez. traore and elia.

manninger is no more with juve

as for shirt number "jinx".. The number that juve legend used to wear (11-nedved, 17-trez) i think got to do
with someone worthy of em. Amauri use dat #11 and look where he is now. Traore,Elia use #17 and
in 5-years span nobody gonna remember em both ever playing with Juve at all

PDC use the #11 then *bam* he became on of the best LB/LWB in serie a. Now gio using #10?
I hope he's the one 'worthy' of it just like PDC...

Fiorentina put a 30M price tag for our transfer target Jovetic. Thoughts?

30M a tad overpriced...Jojo is a class player but he's like Pato of fiorentina. 3 games played, 2 games played brilliantly..10 games our due to injury sweat.gif

No la. Conte did beef up PDC. But PDC is as good as he can get. A good player. Now we know that in the UCL, you need more than just good players to do the job. You need a top manager, a team with great team work, luck, as top to world class players. A beefed up PDC is not a top class player. A boosted Matri is not a top class striker. The most is a good striker. Nothing more, nothing less.

A boosted Matri, our new signings and with some luck might enable us to retain the title. But certainly not do well in the UCL. A Cavani or RVP or Saurez or Jovetic is needed. Period.

Leave the boosted Matri, Pazzini to Sampdoria, Palermo, Europa clubs. And same goes for Quag wink.gif laugh.gif

Let's see what Conte has up in his sleeves.....
We needed depth last year, and I think we got that this time. I'm glad we din't sign Boriello....

Is Immobile still loaned out?

Hmm... good to see us having alot of depth in defense, midfield and even for the GK department. But the quality of our striker is only Lazio, Udinese or Palermo club type of standard.

We need one. Just one top striker and Matri and Quag as subs. Now that is called awesome. That is called a strike force worthy of Juve. Remember. good strikers are not good enough for Juve. At Juve. You need top to World Class strikers.

- Gianluca Vialli
- Roberto Baggio
- Christian Vieri
- Fillipo Inzaghi
- Del Piero
- Ibrahimovic
- Trezeguet

Quag, Matri belongs to the sub categories to the above mentioned strikers. Same as what Nicola Amoruso, Marcelo Zalayeta were to Ibra, Inzaghi, in the past

We need either RVP, Cavani, Tevez, Dzeko, Jovetic. GET US JUST ONE OF THEM AND WE R SATISFIED MAROTTA!! Haha doh.gif
