It comes with Google Map and Navigation on default. Google Map locks on easily but Navigation doesn't work with Malaysia roads. I wanted to install Brut's Google Navigation but phone haven't been rooted.

These places are the Service Centers. Try giving them a call, maybe they sell Honor as well.

Had a spin with the GPS tracking fitness program. Endomondo got GPS lockon in what seems to me in 2 seconds. Both with AGPS enabled and disabled.

Good question, so I tried it.

The default application (Sound Recorder) is sounds terrible. I didn't know if it was the hardware (recording mic and/or playback speaker) or software (Sound Recorder), so I grabbed a sound recorder app off market Hi-Q MP3 Recorder and captured a recording.

Honor will have an all white version and it's preloaded with ICS for China market(via China Unicom telco) before Valentine's day.
Looks like the chinese ICS is ready. Hope english ICS will be shortly.

On the first day I was already not as impressed with the camera compared to the rest. I figured then I'll see if Huawei ICS or custom roms will take care of that. What you guys think of Honor's 720p recording?

Try post 69, 77 and 172 for my personal experience. I'll like to hear other people's experience with the battery life too.

My phone now is permanently on Live Wallpaper (Rays of Lightis awesome). Rays of Light on the lockscreen

In terms of playback music sound quality, no problems there. The default music app is loud and clear enough on headphones. Speaker playing back the music is very decent.

If you can wait, then wait until ICS comes out. I think right now not much accessories available for Honor yet.

Huawei is not a new company when it comes to telecommuncations industry.



They are relatively new in producing Android devices but each subsequent models have been a steady improvement. They started with low-end Android phones and Honor is now their mid range phone. Ascend, the upcoming phone, should be a solid contender for the upper mid-range.

When you mention quality, are you talking about physical build/physical durability quality or hardware performance quality?

I got 6 hours of youtube on 3G and still left with 30% battery left. Dunno about Galaxy W.

I am trying out this ICS right now. spent some time looking for english language option. Face recognition is fast and seamless. Camera improved a bit from few shots i took. Overall reaponsiveness seems more or less the same

no marketplace. and for some reason, the huawei backup app doesnt restore: lost my contacts, sms, etc.make manual, not huawei app, backups before proceeding

I am using my huashi honor without screen protector. I knew it was gorilla glass from onset but not dared to actually test it.

Ram usage? Wouldn't that depends on what apps you installed?

Anyone have a 2.3 official rom that I can roll back to? I think I did a noob mistake of upgrading without a rollback version

Factory reset option resets the device to ICS.

For me, the touchscreen sensitivity irregularity is due to too many fingerprints at the same spot. I don't think it is the hardware problem but there's no matte (anti fingerprint) screen protector for Honor to test.

Not sure if there will be a lot of people paying RM50 just for a screen protector

About a week ago I tried some WTS screen protector sellers and no luck on Huawei Honor.
