（槟城4日讯）调和路一酒店发展计划建筑工地的大型吊机，疑不堪暴风雨吹袭倒下，压毁两间战前老屋，吊臂也击损海事执法局大厦墙身，酿1死3伤意外悲剧！

这起罕见意外于周二凌晨12时15分，在调和路及琼花路交界处发生，被大型吊机击中的两间战前老屋，都是由“永盛白铁店”东主所租下，其中一间屋子底层做为门面用途，楼上则让双亲、大哥及一名老员工居住，至于另一间屋子是货仓。

事发前有暴风雨来袭，导致屋子斜对面一酒店发展计划建筑工地的约10层楼高大型吊机，失衡倒下。吊架击中两间位于调和路及琼花路交界处的战前店屋位，两间老屋也属古迹缓冲区。处在老屋后的槟城海事执法局总部部分墙身，也被吊臂击中而龟裂，3楼玻璃窗口也被击碎，停车场入口处地面也发生地陷。

死者证实是65岁的梁益兴（员工），至于另3名伤者分别是80岁伤者赖水源（东主父亲）、77岁周凤珠（东主母亲）及54岁赖尚贤（东主兄长）。据知，事发时他们都在屋内熟睡，仅听到屋顶传来巨响，就被埋在残破屋瓦，惊慌等待20分钟，才陆续被消拯员逐一从废墟中移出，死者当场已死亡。

据知，永盛白铁店东主赖尚德（52岁）于2001年时，因开设在林萃龙医生路的店铺发生火灾，所以迁移到调和路，以每月900令吉租下角头间的战前古屋继续营业。数年前他也租下隔邻战前古屋作为仓库。由于吊机横向倒塌，导致琼花路陷入交通瘫痪。

槟州消拯局主任阿兹敏指出，当局于凌晨12时20分接获投报，并在第一时间赶到现场展开救援行动，共有5间消拯局派员到场展开拯救行动。初步调查，事发起因是大型吊机不堪暴风雨吹袭倒下，不过也不排除有其他因数。无论如何，他补充，一切确实原因将交由职业安全及卫生局调查待证实。

槟市政局下令无限期停工

槟岛市政局即刻发出停工令，指示酒店发展建筑工地无限期停工。

槟岛市政局秘书洪永泰表示，现今槟岛市政局经发出停工令，谕令建筑公司工程师、建筑师提呈意外调查报告，才开会决定是否让工程继续进行。同时，槟州职业安全与卫生局已介入调查这起意外。

洪永泰指出，当局于去年7月20日接获建筑公司提呈的建筑图测，在获得批准后于今年3月动工，这起建筑工程将建设20楼高的酒店，其中低层至6楼是停车场，并有200间客房。洪永泰于周二上午9时，与槟州地方政府及交通管理委员会主席曹观友行政议员巡视意外现场。

曹观友指出，意外发生后，两间战前老屋及受波及的圆宝坛神庙已列为危楼，因此当局将安排事主一家3口出院后、加上独居的庙祝，前往政府单位居住，而他也将从州议员拨款协助受影响人士。另外，巴当哥打区国阵协调员胡栋强指出，建筑公司应加强安全措施，不应意外发生后才亡羊补牢。

负责该建筑工程负责人陈德熙，也于周二上午在曹观友及槟岛市政局代表巡视工地时，向在场的事主家人道歉时，即被责问为何不第一时间救人，陈氏则表示事发后，已指示下属紧急处理。
