I just do not like the taste. But hey, it's alright otherwise. Throw in a banana, ice, a teaspoon of peanut butter and it makes a decent on-the-go breakfast.
That being said, for people who are vegetarians and cannot tolerate the heatiness of regular whey, this is ok. You might want to add supplements as per the person above me has said.
I've seen results, with my brother. He cannot tolerate animal based whey, for some reason it's really heaty for him.
More to do with excessive protein, or lack of water, or lack of vegetables, or sensitivity to an ingredient in the product. Not likely to do with some mystical 'heatiness' from animal products. That being said, for people who are vegetarians and cannot tolerate the heatiness of regular whey, this is ok. Some points to note:
1. Which product did he consume? Is it pure whey or mixed with other supplement ingredients?
2. Did he consume 2.5 litres of water spread out throughout a 12 hr period?
3. Is he eating more mixed vegetables and fruits in a day compared to other food sources? Maybe lots of soda and sugary drinks?
