Any recommendation for Honda CRZ upgrade to 17inch rim ,  i need tyre recommendation
*
If looking for comfort & performance the list below:
1. Goodyear F1 Asymmetric2(Comfort & Long lasting)
2. Continental CSC5(Fuel economy but not long lasting)
3. Michelin PS3(Long lasting)
4. Toyo T1R/C1S

If you drive below 180kmh all above nearly same performance. If you drive above 200kmh CSC5 the best.

Hi, looking to change my car tyres..

Between below, which is recommended for comfort and good price?
Goodyear F1 Asy
Goodyear F1 Asy 2
Michelin XM2
Michelin PS3

Added on November 17, 2012, 11:27 amBtw, size I need is 215/45/17... this is my ori size..should i change to 215/50/17 for more comfort?
*
My recommendation for comfort, performances and good price,
1. Goodyear F1 Asy 2(latest edition/model) or
2. Michelin PS3 or Toyo T1R/C1S or Continental MaxContact5

For Asy2 & Toyo, 215/45 already good comfort for car. In my opinion better upgrade to 225/45 compare with 215/50, if your rim support. nod.gif

getting michelin xm2 185/60 rm205 - is it a good deal for my myvi se stock rim ?
anyone know how much i can get for continental tyre same size ?
*
Better find latest Yokohama CDrive 2 if not mistaken price below RM200 for 14" rim size. Continental CC5 comfort but fast finish.

Thanks bro...

I think i most likely will change to XM2

read some good reviews for it...

Bridgestone are traditionally very noisy...
*
Could consider PS3 for front & move previous front Bridgestone to rear, if only need at rear can try Yoko Cdrive2(comfort).

hello to all.

im about to change my tires and this is the first time im buying.

im using Conti premium contact 2 195/50/16 in my stock ford fiesta rims.i like the tires but now at 37K mileage the thread already less than 4mm.

im looking for tires that have similar performance like the conti but has longer wear period and better comfort. but my priority wear>comfort. i usually drive at 110-130 only. i enjoy fast cornering rather than straight line.

tq.
*
If enough budget go to Michelin Pilot Sport3 for long lasting, average comfort & good performance, other alternative Toyo C1S/T1R & ContiMaxContact5. Cheaper alternative Yokohama CDrive2 or Neuton NT5000/8000. smile.gif

hi, thx for ur feedback. can i know whether all the models u suggested have 195/50/16 tyre profile? tq.
*
Most of the brand have 205/45-55/16, but not really sure with 195/50/16 size. Neuton NT8000 produce 195/55/16 size, more comfort.

If refer this link: http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre-Size/16-...50-16-Tyres.htm
Toyo T1R produce 195/50/16 tyre size.

If refer this link: http://www.michelin.com.my/Buying-Guides/T...tor/search.html
Michelin recommended XM2 & PS3.

For me I always prefer upgrade to wider tyre for better performance & safety. I think your rim can support 205/50/16 or 205/45/16 size, easier to find good & cheap tyre.

Michelin tire price near my office - bandar darulaman

PS3 205/55/16 - RM550
PS3 205/50/16 - Rm580

expensive or normal?
*
If the price compare with Klang Valley, surely expensive for 16". Just imagine Ban Hooi Klang offer me Toyo T1S/C1S for size 215/50/17 around RM450 each. This Toyo nearly same performance with PS3 & more comfort. I bought Neuton NT5000 215/50/17 at RM220 only for daily used at average speed 120kmh. NT5000 feel more comfort & same grip compare with my previous Goodyear GSD3 & Pirelli P7000.

My officemate bought NT8000 for size 205/50/16 for RM210 each at Hin Leong Klang. Anyway PS3 among good tyre for 16", other good choices like Goodyear CDrive2, Conti MaxContact5 & Toyo Proxes C1S/T1S. I read ContiPremiumContact5 also good but still not available in Malaysia.

You can try ask seller below if they provide delivery, coz the tyre can be fix at any Tyre Shop with small charge. Their price also reasonable.

http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/947105/+1560

They also can help/find any tyre brand/model if available in Malaysia.

bro, would like to ask..
which one will you recommend, michelin PS3, or toyo T1R?
if my requirements are quiet, comfort, n acceptable grip?
or mayb i can just go for cheaper options??  smile.gif
*
What size you use? If 17" rim many other good/better option.
If low budget just find Neuton NT5000/8000 or Yokohama CDrive2. If between PS3 & T1R, I prefer PS3 for daily use, more confident until the tyre 'botak'.

Any recommended tyre for 205/60/16?

I am looking for comfort...currently my old tyre is Michelin Primacy LC, but it is just too costly for my budget..

I am looking at budget of RM400 (max) / piece.

I am currently looking at CC5.

Thanks
*
CC5 are soft tyre, meaning fast finish treadwear but o.k for small/light car like Viva, Kelisa, Myvi & etc. My officemate new Inspira using CC5 & can last around 10+ months only.
You could try find Yokohama CDrive2 or Continental MaxContact5.

Asked : http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=947105&hl=
For latest price & other budget model. If your car & rim can use/fit with 215/55/16, many other good budget tyre to choose.

Thanks jemmi,

I am driving a Pug 407. I think should be ok to use 215/55....any thoughts?
*
My friend P-308 factory installed with 225/45/17 using ContiSport3, very good tyre but fast finish but still maintain with that model coz feel very confident at high speed dry/wet condition.

If using 215/55, good & cheapest Neuton NT5000/8000 or ATR Sport2. Other choices like Toyo C1S/T1S/T1R, Yokohama CDrive2, PS3, Maxcontact & many more. In Klang the price in between RM200 - RM400

Any suggestion for 215/45/17? For Toyota Camry year 2003. Currently using 205/60/15 Michelin xm1. Was thinking for federal evo 215/45/17 which is around 350 per piece. Or should I go for other type.
*
My experienced with Federal 595, noisy after 30%. 215/45/17 I prefer Goodyear Asymmetric2 or Toyo C1S/T1S/T1R or Michelin PS3. If low budget can consider Neuton NT5000/8000 or Atr Sport2.

Please help advise some tyres suitable for 215/55/R17 for Camry 2.4 and price too

Thank you in advance
*
You can choose Toyo C1S/T1S(RM500+) or Michelin PS3(RM550+) or Yokohama Advan DB & if low budget find Neuton NT5000/8000(below RM300).

yup city, im going for the yoko Adrive R1 195/50R16. hope to get it changed by this week

nt8000, is that the nexen korean/taiwanese brand? heard quite good review on it from my colleagues.. cheap good sticky
*
NT8000 is Neuton brand, HQ & R&D at YHI Singapore & not Korean brand. YHI also Nexen & Yokohama Distributor for Asean. Production from Achilles Factory in Indonesia.

More info refer: http://www.neutontyre.com.sg/ & http://www.yhi.com.sg/Pdts_distribute.html

I already try both NT5000 & NT8000, good comfort & good performance tyre. Comparable with CDrive 2 & Nexen N8000, but PS3 still overall better(5-10%).

215/45/17 I prefer Goodyear Asymmetric2(RM450) or Toyo C1S/T1S/T1R(RM450+) or Michelin PS3(RM550+) or Yokohama CDrive2. If low/tight budget can consider Neuton NT5000/8000 or Atr Sport2.

u tried NT8000 before? how long does it last? 10% performance less than ps3 is good already..
*
Using it since June 2012, just finish 10-20%. I think can last 2 years for my daily used. I put NT8000(195/55/15 - RM175) at Myvi & NT5000(215/50/17 - RM220) at MPV. I like it comfort compare with my previous Goodyear GSD3, Bridgestone RE001 & Federal. Nearly as comfort as my previous Pirelli P7000(very comfort & grippy but not long lasting like CSC3/5). Grip as good as GSD3 or may be better. Anyway I'm not racing type driver just some time if rushing driving MPV at 180+kmh normally at night before AES installed. brows.gif
