Can recommend tyres for 225/40/R18? Rear tyres getting bald already..

Michelin lists down their PS3 tyres for more than RM1000, that's pretty steep..

Just changed mine same size rear drive too. Conti MC5 good value tires. Got quite from klang rm450 around Pj is 500-520. If you're looking for cheaper tires you could try nexen n8000 or gt hpy. About rm380- rm400 per piece. Or even cheaper is neuron nt8000 at Shah Alam rm290 a piece smile.gif

cheap & good tyre like PS3, CDrive2 & Neuton good for medium speed below 200kmh. Special high performance tyre like CSC3/5, PSS & Assy2 for speed above 250kmh.

A piece of CSC3 costed me RM910 last year. The PS3 should be a better tyre right?

PS3 vs Assy 2? Wanna change the rear tyres as the fronts has been changed to CSC3..

Anyways who is gonna speed above 250 in public highways?

I used nexen 8000 to replace my csc 3. Used them for more than a year still going on ok. There's around 20-30% grip difference as compared to csc 3. But paid around 1400 for 4 tyres, so can't complain much in term of performance. My sizeis 225/45/17

PS3 vs CSC3 taken from bmw club malaysia:

I just replaced 4 new Michelin PS3 ZR for my E60. Feel soft and comfortable but not as quiet as Conti CS3. I feel a little humming sound from the front espcially running on rough pathway. May be my expectation is higher. I still feel my E39's Continental CS3 is better than PS3. it is quiet and very comfortable.

PS3 not same range with CSC3/5. CSC3/5 ranking or same level performance with Michelin PSS.

Assy2 same level with CSC3/5 & PSS, PS3 lower rank with those 3. PS3 level with MC5, Toyo C1S, Yoko CDrive2 & Goodyear E/grip Performance. Assy2 good for rear(more comfort).

My friend driving Golf GTi, the other with Renault Megane & Alfa Rome Giuletta(my brother in law), love/like driving their supercar at above 200kmh.

Using MC5 local made tires, so far so good. Grip is pretty good. Cannot compare to Michelin la, they say Michelin tires you can use till its really bald (if you dare) ahah
