I am not denying the fact that they were crap.I am just amused by how the ''fans'' instantly put down konchesky and poulsen as flops very soon into the season yet now the british signings are doing poorly for about more than 10games already but nobody says anything.At least the critical fans are consistently critical about poor performances.

Yes it's nice having someone who can change the face of a game single handedly but how many players in the world have that influence? I'd rather exercise patience by having a bunch of team players play together until the the understanding between them becomes almost telepathic than buy someone who carries the team in his own shoulders. Sure we can buy a bunch of top players and win more games here and there but if we're in the process of building a team who plays as a team as the mancs do, then I'd persist with the players we have even if it takes them until the end of the season to play effective free flowing football. I want to see us playing pass and move football again. That way it won't matter that we don't have the best players in the world because we function well as a team.

why didnt we spent the cash on juan mata, for example? 20m plus minus. downing or mata? why downing? downing have better stats than mata? downing tried and tested in the PL?

i'm glad we are spending the extraordinary, but the targets are just too ordinary. why no one question the wasteful spending? so is this the liverpool way?

why were we wiling to spend almost 100m? do you believe we dont aim for short term success with such amount of spending in such a short time? is this the way to build the future? spending carefully and wisely is the key to any investment policy. yet we have seen a panic spending of 35m overnight. we do have some really wise financial advisors and economists

Hers my take on cheating. These days players are motivated to do whatever they can to win. Clubs offer bonuses for winning, scoring goals, appearances and so on. I also agree that you can't call Suarez a cheat for stopping the ball on the line if you applaud Solksjaer for what he did and I'm sure some of you do for some bizzare reason. Please don't be hypocritical here. I'm sure many of our rivals would love to call Suarez a cheat for he does go down easy but ask yourself this, is it not the same with your players? Stop focusing on instances where your players are on the attack. Have you not seen your defenders go down after being brushed from behind by a player applying pressure on him? How's this not the same?

So now, does going down under a little contact constitute cheating or does going down under no contact warrant that label? They can't both be the same.

For the record, I miss the days when players would do all they can to stay on their feet. Football was a little more honest back then. One thing I admired about Gary Lineker was his reluctance to go down. He'd do all he could to stay on his feet but footballers these days don't. If you want to call someone like Suarez a cheat so be it but don't ignore the times your players go down easily. Defenders do it all the time when pressured from behind in their own box. They go down and immediately clutch the ball coercing the ref to award a foul. Is this not true?
