agree on adam.. he definitely looks like a stone to heavy. realized that he cant really keep up for full 90 minutes. need to slim down and work on his fitness.

giving players time is essential as proved by lucas. if its up to us fans, he's already playing with some other team right now. almost all of us bashing him labeling he is not good enough to wear the shirt. luckily rafa is not us, eh?

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Nov 3 2011, 11:09 AM) No harm in calling it like you see it. Henderson may yet realize his potential but for now I think he's been crap and has yet to justify his price tag. He's shown glimpses of brilliance but these moments are too far and few in between. Having said that, I hope he is an uncut diamond and shines in the next couple of years. not that i dont agree with you. he's been crap so far but on most occasion he also has been played out of position. he need to be play in his actual position which is in the middle for a couple of games in a row so we can actually see his ability. cant see that happening soon since his is on the bottom of the midfield pecking order. |

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Nov 8 2011, 04:16 PM) Do note that Torres is averaging a goal every 7 games for Chelsea at the moment. Prolific isn't a word I'd use to describe him based on current form. Torres on his day is a player who can create something out of nothing much like Suarez. I think we'd be best served however looking for a goal poacher. Someone who operates mainly in the box and not around it. Nothing fancy. Simple, neat and direct. I agree with this. Now, the closes we have of a goal poacher is Kuyt. Though he's not clinical enough and he's playing wide and tracking back to help to defend most of the time. Torres is not the same after the injury. He was a beast in his 1st season with us because nobody have any idea how he play. It was a delight and made us 'bounce'. His stats now is no better than Carrol I think so prolific is not very correct. |

i tend to stay away from the transfer rumors because 90% of them is made up crap anyway.
speaking about 'liverpool type player', i know tevez is not. a good player no doubt but his attitude is not very pleasant. i rather have a player that is a team player and a good attitude. give 100% whenever get picked to play. not sulking and throwing tantrum when did not start or got benched |

hmm.. still bitter about downing over mata? following your logic, all the best player definitely come to us after we met their club asking price eventhough we didnt qualify for CL or Europa league. come on, be real a bit. it's not FM.
i think most liverpool fans not expecting we gonna win the league this season or probably the next one. top four is a possibility and as far as i can see, we are not off track yet. the race for top 4 still on. |

QUOTE(koolspyda @ Nov 11 2011, 12:31 PM) no, we have seen successful teams with goalkeepers as captain. cant exactly remember which games but there's a couple of times in hodgson era where reina and kuyt shouting, encouraging the team when we were down helpless.. including gerrard and carra. they both may not contributing alot in goals scoring but they seems very capable of becoming team captain. another player come to mind is agger. if he can keep fit the whole season then he 2nd be the vice captain.we dont have someone who dictate & command the midfield. someone besides gerrard. lucas is an option but too modest, does things but the book, nothing extraordinary to hold the midfield. adam, henderson ? no leadership qualities. no one in the current lfc squad who could lift the team, who seems to have the something extra at times, who has the stroke of magic, that x-factor when situation arises. nope. i dont see it in lfc squad now (besides the aging gerrard, whom seem to have & carried far-far too much for us & our total reliance/dependance on the few of him. in short we have too few carra, & gerrard, at times when torres was on fire) we were a slightly above mediocre team made to performed top team challenging for the championship.. wait.. i sound i like echoning our ex gaffer. but you guys know what i meant. KD believes back then, thats how the great liverpool performed. a bunch of semi talented guys, nothing too overly special, maybe 2-3 but they had the heart to play magically for liverpool. gerrard has been a great captain. so its understandable why most of us sets a high standard on a captain |

QUOTE(my_username @ Nov 13 2011, 03:27 AM) as a lifelong liverpool fan, im quite embarrassed by suarez's antics. we use to take the higher ground, making fun of cristina ronaldiver , didier dropba, etc ... unfortunately, suarez is as the same category as them. CLASS "A" CHEAT .. AND i forgot to add, his bloody tantrums is really annoying. I think i've seen him sulking a few times after being substituted. Don't tell me that is something acceptable ? We are liverpool , and no one is bigger than the club. PERIOD lol.. u cheer up my sunday morning. get off your high horse will ya? why so embarrassed.. we had a couple of dodgy players in the past to be embarrassed about but not suarez.hope gerrard's prolonged run in the team might result in a tongue lashing to sort Suarez out. Added on November 13, 2011, 3:30 am i think the ninja's around the world might be offended to be associated with downing on his current form. he fell of easily if there's contact, yeah.. but no diver. class A cheat because the handball in WC? its in the past. give it up. eveyone move on already. he did not sulk. he just frustrated when subbed. thats happened when u really like to play football. if he is sulking then he wouldn't shows up in training and give 100% in the next game. |

boy was i correct assuming the thread will be infested after the news about suarez came out last night.
anyway, suarez has been charges but not yet proven guilty. so no need to say this and that about him. if he been found guilty calling evra a nigger then if was nobody fault but his. he should know better. he should just accept the punishment. even if the FA say he's not guilty and the charges drop because of lack evidence his reputation already tainted and the media will not fail bring this issue everytime. i hope he is strong enough to face the incoming onslaught. with this, it be interesting to see what will john terry gets. his action actually does caught and camera and broadcast live. we'll see.. |

1st half was very good. we kick them all over the fields. kenny get the team selection right. we looks very dangerous when attacking.
then 2nd start with chelsea changing the tactics we were very slow to adjust costing us the goal. then there was that crucial save from pepe. if he didn't save the header most probably we will lost the game. i thought pepe is very good as captain. hendo subs was the correct one because bellamy not very effective anymore and we need to stop chelsea in the middle of the park. after the sub we managed to level the field. next is a tougher test.. with this win only boost their confidence |
