how's the phone function? Does it work with new or third part firmware?

My friend planning to use it for phone function also. I advice him to use with bluetooth easier cause it will be weird to put this big pad to the ear or something.

Anyone existing user can comment on this?

Thanks.

i'm the tab 7+ user that is using this as a main phone+unlimited data plan smile.gif. my advice, install the screen protector and buy anymode or any other cheap option casing that is THIN so that you can actually slide it into your jeans pocket (slacks for working/student depend on your size. fat like me of course can put into the slack with ease tongue.gif ).

other than that, yeah, do buy a bluetooth earphone. OR, if you don't mind the weird look when people are staring at you, you can actually use it as normal phone as its earpiece and mic are good. i havn't use bluetooth earphone YET  doh.gif .

what? You bought the tab already? You should have got the package from mobile companies. They package the 7+ with 3G packages and you can get the tablet at RM1049 only.

u didn't turn off the phone before sleep?

wah..you still living in the nokia/motorola handphone era? No need to turn off phones nowadays.

The only reason to keep it off is to conserve battery. However, if you leave it on, modern smartphones only take up around 5% for whole night. Better if you leave it charging during your sleep. That way, you could have 100% battery every morning.

you're wrong! sometime your tablet left 80% battery life u keep it on?

Tablet just like your life, can u without sleep within 1 month?

If you always keep your gadget On sure your gadget life is shorter than other!

another wrong perception.

If your tablets takes up 20% battery over night. That means you are running something in the background. You should also turn off bluetooth, 3g/edge, wifi and so on it you don't need them to be running at night. Or the tablet is just lousy. Majority of the phone or tablet's battery usage is on the screen. When it is in sleep mode, screen is blank and battery usage would be at minimum.

Tablet need to sleep? Yeah...sleep is not equal to power off. When you leave it idle, it go to sleep.

Tablets/smartphones are designed to turn on 24/7 under standby mode. When you say gadget's life become shorter, do you mean the battery or other parts? If you mean battery then you are wrong again. Modern ion-lithium battery does not have "memory effect" when it comes to keeping charge. It is designed to last around 2-3 years. Even if you turn the component OFF, it will still last that long only. It doesn't help to prolong the battery if you always keep your device OFF.
