2) through setting > about phone > model number

QUOTE(gajahwhite @ Oct 8 2011, 07:41 PM) Technically it's using different type of CPU and GPU.The price of G version also cheaper than the original non G. You can check at page 1 for more detail :-) Added on October 8, 2011, 8:01 pmWahh., my star is rising after the flamewar and Baronic reenable the post counting back. QUOTE(snapshots @ Oct 9 2011, 10:34 AM) hello ya'll....am planning to get a SGS2.... I think.Samsung is busy preparing Exynos 4212 for next year SGS3. That's why the latest batch of SGSII 'G' version is using OMAP instead of Exynos CPU.GPU war Another milestone for Exynos? 16M CMOS sensor for smartphones as well.. Exynos 4212 |

I think what kazama82 meant is SGSII can be use up to 4 - 5 years which is correct if you take care of you phone. Though it sure won't be top phone anymore but who's cares. As long as Nexus Prime firmware can get updates means so can SGSII since both nearly the same spec. Only the hd screen is different. Better keep your finger crossed ~~lol~~

QUOTE(JTpiah @ Oct 9 2011, 06:30 PM) Hi people. Im a current user for 2month plus. I wanted to know...is there any problems that you all had faced?? First of all., you had to state what roms are you using. Stock or custom..I always had many problems with my phone that makes me so frustrated with it. The phone will heat up like those water heater you turn it to maximum. Incoming call...the person on the other side could hear echo and couldn't hear my voice clearly. The phone tend to auto shut sometimes, lagging, auto restart. When heat up, it will sometimes auto shut. I wonder how is this could happen. These problems making me to dump my phone. Any suggestions from you guys or I should just send for warranty?? Overheating - There no such thing as overheating (unless you phone had defect) as SGSII can withstand up to 58°C without problem. Furthermore it goes auto shutdown if the temperatures too high which is very unlikely. Echo - Again what firmware are you using coz it can be eliminated when you upgare your firmware. Reboot/restart and lagging - check whether you got any roque apps. Did you have any illegal apps.? If your problems still persist then better bring it to service centre for medical checkup ~lol~ |

QUOTE(rain0520 @ Oct 9 2011, 07:38 PM) For me rapid typist, i personally prefer SwiftKey. Samsung stock de correction or prediction not working that well. As for google keyboard even worse, too slow can't make it with my pace speed. Then the problem is actually you and not the keyboard or the phone itself ~~duhh~~Next time type slower or use the bluetooth portable keyboard Added on October 9, 2011, 7:49 pm QUOTE(rain0520 @ Oct 9 2011, 07:45 PM) G or non G version is quite the same. QUOTE(blackchides @ Oct 9 2011, 07:53 PM) I agree. SwiftKey is more accurate than the stock android keyboard. That's because SwiftKey's prediction engine learns from your typing style. Ya..ya that's true. It quite hillarious when you find someone got problems using the phone due to own ignorance then suddenly say the phone is no goodAs for the screen size argument, how utterly tedious. If everyone can understand that one's opinion does not apply to everyone, the board will be much more peaceful. Need to get Baronic to clamp down on the trolling. Some people ~~sigh~~ |

QUOTE(destEX @ Oct 9 2011, 08:09 PM) what performance? SGS2 has been always the SCREEN, thing people see first is SCREEN and how they judge also based on SCREEN, some will wow so nice colours/so bright/so big! and nobody gives a shit about dual core or gpu unless they remember sgs2 advertisement. So ipong with their small scree, i see once lazy wan see ad, so SMALL, colours so DULL, and what's worst, most of them put the matte sp, retina display also become matte display ad la! . That being said, i'm still a very proud owner of the limited edition non-g version ~~lol~~psstt..destEX, don't talk too technical otherwise some ppl won't understand one. Like quad core Mali-400 GPU. Then they will go huhh., what quad core? It's dual-core lor. Their brain too small to differentiate between GPU and CPU :-) QUOTE(silrave @ Oct 9 2011, 08:10 PM) No NFC except Korean version |

QUOTE(Jet23sky @ Oct 9 2011, 08:27 PM) Is there any other super phones that will be available in couple months? The latest i know is google nexus prime. Is there any phone released in few months? You really need custom roms meh.? G version can be rooted already so a lots of thing can be tweak already. Regarding custom roms, sooner or later it will come though i don't put too much hope on it as most established developers is using the non G version. Unless somebody gave/lend them a G version phone, i don't thing they will buy new G version just to make roms.I think i will get the white color. I hope once they released custom roms, then i would be very happy :S |
