QUOTE(destEX @ Oct 9 2011, 11:48 AM) dude, does cm7 even support the G version? @antt00: i flashed siyah b1 tried wifi, works with checkrom v5 Wifi is working also. Just that shutting down wifi takes longer than normal. Can you try turn on wifi go load a page then shut down wifi. Immediately go to setting wifi see if you can access the page? Added on October 9, 2011, 12:20 pmQUOTE(putochip123 @ Oct 9 2011, 11:34 AM) any idea on how to install cyanogen mod on the samsung galaxy SII i9100G? i wanna install clockwordmod, but it seems to be not working Please do not flash cm7 on g model. The kernel is develope for normal sgs2. Flashing it could soft brick your g version. This post has been edited by antt00: Oct 9 2011, 12:20 PM

QUOTE(jutamind @ Oct 9 2011, 05:07 PM) is sgs2 too big for one hand operation? is it pocketable, ie can be kept in the trousers pocket without feeling too bulky? The screen is not too big for me cos I came from another 4.3 in device. I actually cannot use devices with smaller screen after almost 2 year using 4.3 in. My normal size hand have no problem using it by 1 hand. Bulkiness is when the device is too thick or heavy NOT the screen size. SGS2 is the thinness and extremely light. You wont feel it at all. When i bought my HD2 i thought it will be bulky as well, but as it is very thin, it feel less bulky then all my previous devices even though it is bigger. So the SGS2 being lighter is even less bulky. This post has been edited by antt00: Oct 9 2011, 05:51 PM

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Oct 9 2011, 06:06 PM) lol ?? how come malaysia s2 so special got special version ??? like this sure go for old version It not just Malaysia. SEA and i think india also got. Problem is most top cookers are using normal SGS2. The issue with G version is the kernel not the rom. They need a kernel that can link their different CPU to the OS. Rom wise it should all be the same as only their CPU is different unless there are other hardware changes we are not aware of.

QUOTE(zellleonhart @ Oct 9 2011, 06:24 PM) Anywhere can I download original android/s2 notification tones? I mean extracted to wav or mp3 ones. I am not using an android phone but I found out some notification tones are quite nice to be used with my BBM tone Hope someone can link me even though i'm not in the community here... can't find online thanks in advance! If you want SGS2 tones, you can download any rom in XDA, open up the zip and look in /system/media folder. All tones are there.

QUOTE(JTpiah @ Oct 9 2011, 06:30 PM) Hi people. Im a current user for 2month plus. I wanted to know...is there any problems that you all had faced?? I always had many problems with my phone that makes me so frustrated with it. The phone will heat up like those water heater you turn it to maximum. Incoming call...the person on the other side could hear echo and couldn't hear my voice clearly. The phone tend to auto shut sometimes, lagging, auto restart. When heat up, it will sometimes auto shut. I wonder how is this could happen. These problems making me to dump my phone. Any suggestions from you guys or I should just send for warranty?? I got NONE of the above problems. What were you doing when it heat up, lagging or restarting? Using official or custom rom? If you are using official rom the problem is most probably with some rogue apps. Added on October 9, 2011, 6:38 pmI think Similan article is not accurate. The way i hold my device I can reach all 4 corners and my hands are just normal size. And no my fingernails are not long. This post has been edited by antt00: Oct 9 2011, 06:38 PM

QUOTE(Similan @ Oct 9 2011, 06:38 PM) before u claim the article is wrong, it is best that u measure the length of ur thumb and compare with others. or maybe u can stretch ur thumb longer. but doing so regularly may lead to thumb injury. so do be careful. Before you reply me you should read. I said it was inaccurate NOT wrong. Please differentiate between wrong and inaccurate. What userbase hand reach did they measure? I am not even 6' tall and my hands can reach the corners. On top of that, the lightness of the device makes it easy to use with 1 hand. On my much heavier HD2 i usually switch to 2 hands because it is tiring not because I cannot reach the corners.

QUOTE(Lineage @ Oct 9 2011, 08:47 PM) For those using siyah kernel..what governor u all use for screen on and screen off? I use ondemandx (100 - 1200 mhz) which regulates between screen on / off so no profile needed. Tried lagfree not bad but don't like my phone idle at 500mhz when watching movie / reading book.

QUOTE(Jet23sky @ Oct 9 2011, 09:10 PM) Sigh.... with 0.2 inches more and better processor speed, it seems like lte is really a nice phone..... Wanna ask u all who are using SGS2 now, is processor sufficient for you all now? I don't think i wanna wait any longer. Now handphone looks like PC, impossible to chase the technology. Besides, I won't be so hardcore to custom devices. Just get what i need, and goes along with it. Its been 4 years since i last change my phone hahaha. Processor is more than sufficient for current android OS and apps. I feel like underutilizing it. I think most of the time only 1 core running. If you really want to can OC to 1400 or 1600mhz also can.

His file sizes always change cos sometimes he forgot to compress it, other times he change base, etc. Working quite well at the moment. No reboot and AOS only 3% after 2 hours since startup.

Trying out voltage control instead of setcpu & nofrills. Kinda like it as it set at startup with script and no need for an app.
