Weikee. Elora is good but I dont think it easy to find now days. You can get sata or toptul their quality is not bad. I am using sata brand currently.
*
Where did you get the sata? want to compare price. Last time Elora give unlimited warranty. How long is Sata warranty?

Weikee. Sata also lifetime warranty. Price wise cant really advise on that.  You can check at mudah first. Their set price is not expensive. The 150pcs set was around 700 plus imnm. Later I take picture of my set.  Cost about 200 last time.

Ok, Now that I don't own Jap "wife", need to find a set of torx socket. Japanese car usually 10, 12, 14, 17, 19 and 21 you can remove almost entire car already.

ni Masonry/Concrete Drilling...

ot till hand tools pulak... biggrin.gif

for the average DIYer who wana save...
the MR DIY good nuff dy..

even most car workshop don use very expensive branded tools..

most useful size is 8 10 12 13 14 17 19 21... maybe 15...

the rest will just be "use less" most of the time.....
*
Really depend what type of car. Some car use Torx more. Tools can also be use in powertool there is this SDS-Plus-1/2" Socket Drive you can buy. And some DIY hardcore have more tools than workshop smile.gif I have a friend with air pump at home too biggrin.gif

I break some socket and spanner from the china unknown brand before. Especially size 14, and 17 that I used it the most frequent. The spanner can turn from U shape to V shape too.

i was browsing around in mudah, probably price for sata has increase. Elora brand not so easy to find in jb, mostly now days either unknown china brand and mr.mark is ample. So far tried Sata and Toptul not bad their quality. Getting trolly set, my dream la. want to Diy must have complete tools  blush.gif

Nowdays most tools are made in china, even sata is manufacture in china, heck expensive brand like SnapOn also manufacture in China already. With good QC and material i think it will still be topnotch...
*
Almost everything made from China, can't avoid. Will try SATA after I compare the price in Lion land when I go later this year. Tools is a wants, not a must for the time being smile.gif

Yes. So far japanese brand like sunflag their quality is good. Their screw bits are still made in jp.
*
Sunflags have limited tools right? mainly on hand use, not on powertool and drills.

get the new Bosch GSR 1080-2-LI. at less than RM300 it's a bargain. the 14.4 and 18v models is quite big. well it's big to me. but some people might find the impact capability a good thing to have. just don't expect much from a cordless impact drill though.

i find the 14.4 and 18v too big and hard to move around, especially when you have to bring it up and down the stairs, inside the roof structure and the such.
it's not unusual. i have an air compressor too. together with a hvlp and lvlp system.

yet i don't spend hundreds on socket and wrenches. frequently used sockets yes i buy good quality ones. but less frequent ones i use average quality. usually king toyo or similar grade which could be had for very cheap.

not really. there's a few other current models from bosch using the same 10.8v. even tools from makita and hitachi is also using the same compact 10.8v lion battery. if you look at amazon the 10.8v is still available for their compact models.
it's been discussed before. reduced battery capacity, no led lights, no battery level indicator. and some other thing i can't recall. but the point is, it's much cheaper and you still get the important functions.
i do minor repairs myself. painting bumpers, doors, bonnet and other smaller repairs. the system is initially set for painting wood and mdf. had to set it up because car workshops won't paint mdf because they just don't know how to do it properly. and wood shops can't do a good finish because you need automotive finishes for high gloss.

also the cost of pneumatic/air tools is much cheaper than electric equivalent. things like air stapler/nailer/brad gun could be had for ~RM100-ish while a good electric ones would set you back RM500-something.
*
Yup the pneumatic are cheaper and much more lasting and reliable. I got a Bosch electric paint spray, it doesn't paint as well as the compress air. Anyway is FOC, no complain smile.gif

there are some youtube videos to promote the tools and also some vids with its disadvantages..

so far looks like a multipurpose tool to me.. rather than get circular saw. jig saw.. grinder

for diy.. small project i think it works wonderfully well.. but for large project nothing beats specialized tools
*
Yup saw few videos. Thanks.

In the end, still senget a bit and one hole, cannot fit the bolt. I already marked the spot where I want to drill. I check and recheck many times to make sure its level everything. Still tabuli.....manyak failed  cry.gif

In the end, only 3 bolts holding my TV wall mount. I still got one TV to go.....I sked now  sad.gif

Before drilling use nail & hammer it to make a groove, so your drill bit won't run

My drill bit didn't run. I start out with slow revolutions. It's a 10mm bit and the holes on my tv mount has no vertical play, only horizontal can be adjusted. But I dunno why lari.  😔

You can now drill it with the bracket in there but you will scratch the bracket.

Cannot. There is no play at all. Once the bolt is in, that's it.
Anyway I'm done with this one.

I'm worried about the next one. I still dunno what went wrong, which means there is a great possibility that I will screw up again in the next TV mount.
*
Tap with a nail, and draw a line between two nail, see if its straight.

Sometime to get the mount align, got to think out of the box, If you drill the hole are offset, drill bigger, fit a wood inside and with wood, you can screw in the bracket offset to compensate with the earlier offset you drilled.

Sometime the bracket have to be grind, or mod to make more free play to adjust. And get a bigger washer to secure the bigger opening you grind.
