Now i need to get variable speed grinder.
*
plan to get this

http://www.bosch-pt.com.my/papocs-my/Produ...object_id=16835

seems like a versatile all in one tool.. check out some of the youtube videos...

but would like to have the corded version of it smile.gif

QUOTE(bahathir @ Oct 30 2011, 10:17 PM)
There is a feature/function called 'No Hammering When Idling", which make less vibrations and make the hammering mechanism long lasting. The hammering will starts when to push the drill bits to the target. Even you start hammering, the vibration of the rotary hammer is still low and comfortable.
*
saw that in the brochure smile.gif nice feature i would say smile.gif

damn the makita i bought seems like the best toy i ever bought

tested it out today drilling a 12mm hole effortlessly...

chiseling out a hole using the hammer only function so easy and effortlessly.. (chiseling out a hole on red brick wall)

damn its the best tool to have.. impact drill sorry i have to abandon you already..

once you go rotary you can't go back smile.gif lol

I use my makita till now white color, need to take blower to clean it. Use too many time. Another good investment is variable speed grinder. Diamond cutter + rotary make conceal cabling so easy.

After makita, I brought variable speed grinder, and dig back my old sander, Bosch spray gun. Got myself a set of polisher for marble / cement / granit.

if they can find a way to make it work quieter it would be awesome smile.gif

Aaa.. you felt the same, that,we are not going back for the impact drill. smile.gif 12mm ? It is still a small hole, compared to the H2470's full potential, handling up to 24mm masonry drill bits. In my case, most of the time, I only use 1/2 of the my rotary hammer for more controllable  drilling jobs. At full power I need to add more pushing force to keep the rotary hammer from 'bouncing'.
*
well if the bit's pricing seems to go up exponentially with the increase in size.. not sure how much would a 24mm bit cost sad.gif

if you use 24mm often, get the Zentro or 4 cutters type bits, for durability and better drilling performance.
*
yeah heard about those bits with 4 cutters on the head... the bosch one cost a BOMB...

just curious.. does jalan pasar sell this kind of hardware stuff ? , can't seem to find a proper place that has a well stocked inventory of diy stuff...

Where can buy drill can suck the dust together.? Found it on youtube, it queit impressive. Suitable for indoor use.
*
bosch has a dual function drill with dust extractor function...

this one, http://www.lelong.com.my/bosch-dust-extrac...2-05-Sale-P.htm

unless u require the "hammer-only" mode then so far yet to see a bundle set with dust extractor function...

Added on November 18, 2011, 9:41 pm: just curious, anybody got try or see in shop this kind of "al-cheapo" laser leveler, does it do the job ?

Impact Driver : Makita TD-010F
100Nm torque; 230 W

230 W vs 800 W of the HR2810 rotary hammer... But, wood is quite a touch material to drill . Compared to my previous clip,  rotary hammer + 12 mm masonry bit can drill into concrete block in 4 seconds... but it took longer with wood. smile.gif
Thank you.

Note: A new addition to my DIY tools.... the Black and Decker's Workmate 225, workbench... and.... Makita GA4030 grinder..
*
lol , your rotary drill on hammer+drill mode... sounds like a scooter.. hahah

just curious your using the normal sds bits for concrete ? to drill wood ?

care to share pic of your
1. Black and Decker's Workmate 225, workbench...
2. Makita GA4030 grinder..

The 13mm chuck has SDS plus shank.
It is then attach to the drill.
*
please note that this 13mm chuck dont use the hammer mode as u will damage it..

its only use for drilling small holes in wood and steel without hammer function

for hammer/concrete drilling , u need use pure sds plus drill bits and their size

hi guys ordered bosch dre 2-26 for rm580. what do you guys think about this price? makita 2470 is rm520 but the shop tell me that bosch is alot better performance and more service center and makita need to send back to kl to service so it will take longer time if any problems.
*
how small of a town are u from ?

usually those machinary shop(cinapek style) will repair any brand of power tools.. one

just that the time frame will be different... depending on "commonality" of your tools and if they got stock up parts or not

for me at least i believe that makita and bosch that model/range is similar if not same in quality...

just different is paying extra for the brand only... unless when u bought your dre2-26, u manage to get those 6+6 years warranty thinggy

BTW, do you find most SDS bits are for concrete only? hardly find wood and steel.
*
SDS bits are created for concrete aka hammering function...

and for wood and steel you dont/can't use hammering thus u can't quite find sds type bits for those

thats why they got give those chuck then let u plug into sds and use normal bits.. just dont enable hammer else u damage the chuck

Problem with the extended chuck with normal bit will wobble.  I was searching for wood / steel sds bits but to my surprise I did not find one. Now got to have 2 drill loh, my old drill and the makita drill.
*
yeah that is true.. thats why some models come with the quick change chuck thingy that fits/replaces the sds chuck

but it cost alot more for those models.. la
