Hello..I bought something online using Maybank Debit Card. Pre-auth debit was charged.

However, the seller told me later that the item is out of stock and gave me a refund. This was on 19/20th August.

I'm just wondering how long does it take for Maybank to refund me my payment?

Also, I'm wondering if in the event that the seller did not tell Maybank to refund me but at the same time also does not tell Maybank to settle my payment, Maybank will cancel the pre-auth hold on my funds right? How long does this normally take?

I got my refund back after 2 and half weeks later.

I did call Maybank before I got the refund, they say it'll take up to 16 working days maximum for the refund to go through. After 16 days and it still hasn't been refunded, you can lodge a report.
