I just converted my CIMB ATM card to a debit card. This is what you have to do. Bring your NRIC and old ATM card. There is no charge if your old ATM card is not a damaged one or lost. You fill in a form together with your bank account number (CASA). If your debit card is one linked with ATM use then it cannot be used for online transaction. Only stand alone debit cards can be used for online transaction. I hope this clear everyone's doubts. In addition you have an extra 300 bonus points for your first retail transaction. 1% cash rebate for Groceries and Petrol and a chance to win a Ford Fiesta. Offer ends 30/4/12. http://www.cimbbank.com.my/index.php?ch=cb...b&tpt=cimb_bank

QUOTE(GingerNinja @ Nov 6 2014, 11:37 PM) Checked with them at Maxis KLCC. Said no transaction went thru nothing. Damn sad man. I just made a report with Maybank and waiting for the outcome of it. Hopefully get refunded. There was news that "Maxis" screwed up big time selling iphone 6 online during launching. You will definitely get your refund after they have sorted things out.

AFAIK FD used for Visa card application is pledge - cannot withdraw. However, for Alliance debit card may continue to use but there is low quota limit for free PPL use.

Has anybody opened an ewallet account with HLB and linked it to his debit card? It is supposed to support multi currency features and be used overseas.
