I got this card in 2008 upon opening of hybrid account with 20k initial deposit. Withdrawn 18k within 3 days of account opening and a/c never exceed 3k balance. This year my card expired and was replaced by another platinum debit card  rclxms.gif

so now 20k or 50k? sad.gif

Ok bro i was informed that the criteria was raised from 20k to 50k initial deposit back in 2012 to cope with the high demand this card has generated.  rclxub.gif

On the side notes, if I am able to open the account, can I withdraw all the money out and put it somewhere else?

I have a question, CIMB send me a debit mastercard which I never request.

But I wonder does it work the same like Maybank Cherry card?

Ie : withdraw cash from ATM and use as debit card.

If it does, then I will activate and keep it and throw my atm card away.

yes, it works both as debit card and atm cash withdrawal as well. by the way, did they charge you any fee for the debit card?
*
No, did not charge me a single dime.
I remember I went to CIMB one day and ask a very beautiful CS if I can change my atm card coz already 6 years and sticker peeling off.
She told me will be charge with RM12 for replacing new one coz my current one still can be use even though already so bad condition.
I say no thanks, will keep using till cant be use anymore.

Didn't know one week later, This debit mastercard arrive in my mailbox.

a very beautiful cs with a very beautiful heart too. brows.gif

if you replace at the branch, rm12 will be charged once you receive the new debit card. not sure if it is waived (since you did not request for it) and they sent you by post, or will they only charge you once you activate it?
*
haha no idea... I checked my CIMB click and confirmed did not charged a single sen.
I have not activated my debit mastercard yet coz it has a reputation like a kwik card where I need to put money in first before I can use it, and it cannot use as atm card.

Hence, asking the question at here.

You will not able to redeem anything with just 655 points.
The lowest points required is 3100 to offset RM12,50 GST

You can refer to cimb website
https://rewards.cimbbank.com.my/
*
Actually I got offset with 10,000 points for the RM50

so the breakdown would be 2,500 for RM12.50

So currently what's the best debit card? sweat.gif

I am currently using Maybank Cherry Debit Card, thinking of switching to BSN because of cash back and TnG/PlusMiles function.

You might wanna consider Alliance Bank debit card.
They have tier-ed cashback.
