QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Nov 16 2016, 01:01 AM) No. It wasn't a mistake. I am using the VISA Platinum VISA PayWave debit card too and mine is annual fee free. Previously i had the normal cherry maybank card. Changed the card recently, suddenly they gave me the platinum paywave version. Other colleagues got normal cherry paywave card though. Why is that? And by default this is charged rm8 annually? This post has been edited by hirano: Nov 17 2016, 11:34 PM

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Nov 18 2016, 02:23 AM) No idea. Did you guys get yours replaced at the same branch at the same time ? It could be that the officer grabs whatever card he/she saw. No. It is not. Whether yours will be charged annual fee should follow the existing option that you account is on. Since Maybank came up with this unlimited ATM cash withdrawals for RM8/pa a few years ago, most officers will simply help you to choose this unlimited ATM cash withdrawals with annual fee without asking you. There have been cases where Maybank officers told customers that all ATM/debit cards come with annual fee now which is absolutely not true. To pay RM8 a year for unlimited ATM cash withdrawals is still optional until today. Not at the same branch/time. So maybe it's whatever available in the branch. I see. I've been keeping a min 5k most of the time to avoid the withdrawal fee. From your statement, since i'm being charged rm8 anyway, there is no more need for the 5k.

I was paying for my glasses last week, not much just rm600. Tried to use maybank debit card to pay, key in my PIN number, the machine at the shop says limit exceeded. I know that i have way more than that in my account.
So what's the default limit for mbb debit card actually? Other than calling their CS, any way for me to change this limit on my own?

QUOTE(#Victor @ Jun 18 2017, 12:50 PM) For Maybank, if you opt for non annual fee, first four cash withdrawals in a month at any Maybank ATM will be free. RM0.50 per withdrawal for fifth withdrawal and above in a month. Of course u can opt back for the unlimited withdrawal option any time. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « | First four (4) cash withdrawals in a month at any Maybank ATM | Free | | Fifth withdrawal and above in a month | RM0.50 per withdrawal (charge will be debited directly from account at the end of each transaction) | *Fee waived if you have a balance of above RM5,000 at time of withdrawal (optional) or single transaction of maximum withdrawal of RM1,500 and above *Unlimited withdrawal at any Maybank ATM : RM8 per annumHow about CIMB? The debit card rm15.90 fee charge is killing. Cimb is just my spare card, so i withdraw only 1-2 times a month only at most. This post has been edited by hirano: Jun 23 2017, 07:12 PM
