3) employment letter

In my experience, Its not a very pleasant exp as they questioned me like i dont deserve to be their banking customer they dont even bother to entertain you if you dont have all the documentation requested by them. Turn me down because i only bring payslip and employment letter. For the documentation, better confirm with their cs again so you wont need to make second trip.

Ya, i still rem the customer service staff at the branch says like "we, citibank need to know what our customer is doing and we are not like those bank that simply let you open a bank account. We are choosing our customer as well"

Yes its normal nowadays when u trying open bank account that not near to your ic address. So far, all my bank account opening require employment letter to proceed.
