I am using the Maybank cherry debit card at the moment. I have activated the overseas cash transaction. But somehow was not able to get cash from ATMs in China. Does anyone know which particular Chinese bank's ATM works with Maybank debit card? I have tried ATMs at Bank of China, Construction bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank and Bank of Communication. But all failed.

I was able to use the card for buying things at shopping malls in China though.

I am quite sure I activated the cash option because on my previous trip I was not able to withdraw either. So I specifically went to a Maybank ATM to check and activated the overseas withdrawal. Not sure if it has something to do with the banks I have tried so far. Maybe international banks like HSBC or Citybank ATM might work. I'll try again later.

But if anybody has any clue, do let me know.
