hi all, i'm not sure if this is a proper thread to discuss about the confusion i'm facing right now.

i made an online transaction using my maybank visa debit to purchase a 'pre-order' game through 'origins', plus minus RM200 total.

in my debit transaction statement, there's the 'preauth sale EASTORE' printed on 31st January 2013 (the day i purchased the game).

and then on the 16th Feb 2013, my acc balance suddenly have an extra RM200 with the statement stated 'rev preauth EASTORE'

what does it mean exactly by the 'rev'?does it mean the transaction still valid or was it rejected?

Actually the "Preauth sale" is something that the bank hold certain amount from your saving and wait until the merchant some kind of process been processed then only they  reverse back the "Preauth Sale" amount into your account and charge you the exactly amount and according to the exchange rate if involved the foreign currency. If it been rejected meaning is either your saving account not having enough amount or the merchant cancel off the deal...

well now i'm not sure if the deal is off officially cuz i didnt receive any confirmation email from them but i did receive the 'rev' from the same 'auth' transaction wink.gif
