not possible to switch for existing SA w/ fee.

my experience with opening new PBB's BSA and HLB's BSA.

need to EXPLICITLY ASK for BSA, else the staff will just automatically give you normal SA with high 1st deposit amount (e.g. RM200 for opening but can withdraw the rest later) and debit card with annual fee. normal BSA just need min RM20 deposit (min holding amount, cant withdraw).

they will try to pursuade you to take it under the pretense of "unlimited ATM withdrawal". i just told them, i only use Internet Banking exclusively and very rare using ATM, so 4 times a month is good enough for me. it's ironic though, they encourage customers to use Internet Banking for transactions but indirectly forces us to take debit card w/ AF under the reason of ATM usage.

most staffs are ignorant/unsure/even unaware of BSA! keep asking for BSA if you can, i even asked for branch supervisor to check himself and ask him to call HQ to verify; i even brought up BNM as each bank has to offer BSA.

more senior staff will know the existence of BSA in the system, they will guide the counter staff where to click/find on the screen
