Messages are still there, but contacts that was saved earlier gone. Only left SIM contacts. And there is no
Custom ringtones. Isn't it supposed to come with Mango?

by doing the force update on my hd7, i've just skipped the 7392 and straight to the 7403 update

For custom ringtone u hv to define or do it manually with zune

Although Microsoft says there are 500 new changes in Mango, I don't think there are many visual changes other than the multi-tasking feature.

Good. Just need to ensure all text remains intact.
Aren't all contact suppose to sync to your live account? Just login your live all contact should be able to sync back to your device.

Hmm only some were saved. The others that are saved recently did not appear, even after loading the Live account.

u should do one last sync ya phone with live account before u update to ensure all ya phone contacts are updated to live account.

it wont automatically sync ya phone with live contact until u do it manually.

i do that once a month to ensure the copy is well sync to my live account.

The 500 changes doesn't always mean visual enhancements. Even minor changes like squashing a bug could be considered a "feature".

Or something like making mp3 into ringtone is considered 1 and making .wav into ringtone could be considered another feature too.

yes. at setting, keyboard. u can select language you wanna write.
