QUOTE(othme @ Sep 29 2011, 10:57 AM) I am more concerned PNB will put their corrupted management in. Then SP Setia projects kaput, share price sky diving I think different. I think, they very sure spsetia's projects gonna make huge profit in 5-10years time after the infrastructure build completely. So they want to get the most benefit out of it. It's like government own Petronas, it's golden egg.

QUOTE(json0324 @ Sep 29 2011, 11:05 AM) they have very well planned infrasturcture . their housing project is like money printing machine. .... .... I think it is no doubt the best properties company in Malaysia. Just that it is trading at premium price, just like any other great companies such as nestle and QL etc. Some said buy the best, no matter how expensive it is. Others said, buy undervalued company, it will one day reach its intrinsic value, such as WB.

QUOTE(othme @ Sep 29 2011, 11:17 AM) Yeah, I have friends who live in Setia projects. They're happy with quality even after some years there. Their garden, security maintained very well. If PNB corrupted management move in, conditions might become like our public garden. Me too. I've friend living in Setia Alam's affordable range double storey house, and he is happy with it. SPS builds great both high-end and affordable houses, and I like that they also plan to involved more on affordable house projects in near future.

QUOTE(mopster @ Sep 29 2011, 11:57 AM) hmm.... gamblers traders can buy today, coz German will vote on EFSF today and most likely it will be passed. 10/17 EU already passed it, including Finland yesterday. even after expanding EFSF, the fund is still not enough to handle EU problems.. LOL... Thanks for the updates!

Sime's acquisition totally do no good to E&O shareholders if they don't plan to push the price up to benefit everyone. Unless, in friday AGM, they announce to apply aggressive share buyback to push price up at least above 2.00. Or maybe Sime should use their 1% in open market to push price up. Good luck to E&O holders. I haven't bought any yet since I haven't seen how the price can move up yet (it's not cheap even at current price). This post has been edited by yok70: Sep 29 2011, 01:11 PM

QUOTE(danmooncake @ Sep 29 2011, 08:58 PM) Good evening folks, Really nice close for KLCI today. Looks like volume pick'ing up too. So, I'm not going to do anything new, staying long and just letting this thing rip higher. hopefully investors like EU's new plan when further details such as timetables etc confirm. either another free fall or move higher? KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB Group Holdings is acquiring a 70% stake in SICCO Securities Public Company Ltd (SSEC) from the Siam Industrial Credit Public Company Limited (SICCO) for RM78.43 million cash. “We are consistently among the top 3 brokers in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, and aim to be in a leading position in Thailand in the next few years. “This acquisition is expected to at least double our market share and take us further towards our target of being among the top 5 players in the Thai securities market. We will also look for opportunities for synergies between this new platform and CIMB Thai Bank Plc,” he said. http://www.theedgemalaysia.com/business/19...n-thailand.htmlLooks like news flow is blowing at right timing. Very well organized. CI got high hope to recover better. ......GE is coming, no doubt.

QUOTE(squarepilot @ Sep 30 2011, 12:40 AM) None of them is my fav at the moment, and if you ask me to really choose 1, I will chooese PCHEM. i also think PCHEM is the best choice, but when election is near i would choose otherwise like the 2 belowCIMB > Don't like the management team + too GLC linked already main reason why i put this on my list is because of election. especially this bank is under najib brotherTenaga > Reported losses and also very GLC. same reason due to above + this stock is seriously undervaluedIOI > Diversified in Plantations and Property but did not really stand out on the pure competence to be absolute on one. There are better stocks out there which offer pure exposure on plantation and property. but IOI is stable unless CPO got issuei got 10K FD soon to be matured, if cont like this sure rugi due to inflation, so better dump this into stockIf, you chose a right stock. Otherwise, lose to FD some more. Good luck! Question for you: 1. What makes you think GE can boost up GLC counters? Were you around while Sarawak Election? 2. Many believe CPO is heading lower in near future. Do you agree or not agree? This post has been edited by yok70: Sep 30 2011, 12:49 AM
