amir,

I also have a 4g13 at home. How do you read the dipstick? There is a "min" wording, then a centre line and also a "max" wording. The max level, where should it be at? The centre line or the max wording?.

does it matter?

yg penting boleh masuk and get improvements....
kalau BC nyer conrod takde sapa nak tanya from which car plak.... sebab apa? sebab branded tongue.gif
*
I thought BC conrods are aftermarket parts and have parts for many different engine/car models? I think they were asking because it looked like it could be a conrod taken from another engine/car that could somehow fit into the 4g1x engines.

And please, if your engine is not having any reasons to be down, then keep it as a last resort, you know how much it cost labor alone to bring down an engine, and by that time, as well do a full overhaul as well.

Just my 2 cents. notworthy.gif

The max level at the max marking la.
The center line is the marking for (normal/should be) oil capacity.

Thx amir!

The crank shaft need to be balanced with many others things, just a balanced crankshaft would not do. My 2 cents...

btw, is it advisable to use wood as an open pod filter's heat shield?
*
Don't have anything wood inside the engine bay, sounds dangerous.

DJ :
Dei king DJ,if they refering to dimension and weight, tell me the difference between 1.8 punya flywheel and super touring flywheel.
Size is the same 8.5 inch right?
So the weight la?
From what i know, super touring is gila babi berat..so ramai skim the super touring to lightened it..
After skim, whats the difference between super touring and 1.8 punya flywheel? Lighter? Heavier?
If lighter, baik skim flywheel 1.8 tu je.
If heavier a bit than 1.8 flywheel, then thats the reason to get the super touring la.because the 1.8 flywheel macam mana nak add weight..
So other than that what else?
*
Why use 1.8 flywheel? My home 4g13 have that and I don't know why. Previous owner just say better acceleration?

i dowan the turbo whistle......if possible with the blowoff valve

Not sure exactly how a blowoff valve works, but I think it releases gas after a pressure threshold, so yeah, basically I think you can do that at the exhaust, but not sure if you can activate though...
