AF-S and not AF-A or AF-C ? LOL ~ it's like holding a solid tumbler and snap snap
yup Af-S i tend to get confuse which Af point to Af then recompose some told me use center while others say use the nearest AF to subject then recompose
Now using nearest af point then recompose instead of center af point but unsure which type would be better to use
Nice fill light there, maybe you should ask her to pose ( she+DSLR aim at end of the bridge ) and take her pose more towards the right side to make the image more story like IMO.
if you drop a nikon D700 camera in the pool, then goddess aira comes out from the pool... and she ask: do you drop your camera in pool? you answer: yes. then aira go inside pool and picked up 2 camera...and ask: my left hand is the expeed 3, dual core, 70-200 VRII D800 camera and my right hand got D700 camara...
so your answer? 1) left hand 2) right hand 3) i want you, aira!
if the D800 is not release in my target date, should i get a macro lens as a figure shooting lens + normal walkaround lens and rest of the fund to repair my D70s? (then had to re-saving my fund for body liao )
Why not wait and give it try? ( see if D-00 meets ur expectations)
Like picture 3, maybe you're in a tight (or stalker) position unable to frame the subject well (correct me if I'm wrong). I prefer to snap with the full arm in the pix or just face shoot.
picture 5 has some good action but got a bit of distraction (people will either look at the burning boat at the left or the stunt man), this a good picture no doubt but if we frame the action well (the stunt man) we can have a impact concept. could have frame him at the left and empty water to escape towards the right.
Looks like you had fun there , keep on spamming the pictures
D5100 body by itself oledi can shoot video wif stereo sound... which is enuff for amateur videos...
of coz if u r a professional shooting for events that require good quality sound.. then u need external mic...
Agreed, D5100 video recording in low light iso 1600 really good here a sample (im not promoting in anyway). The mic kind acceptable to i was sitting like 10-12 rows from the stage and speakers was far from my sitting.
This shoot with 35mm F/1.8G (abit shaky as it doesn't hv VR)
Note:using class 6 card still can perform well

Actually i was thinking of either the 85mm micro or the 105mm micro, since i already have the 35mm f1.8, its good for general portrait, but was thinking of getting another lens for macro which i could use for portrait as well.
I would be using the macro partly for work, although i wouldnt get paid much, but it will help in some ways and possibly get me returns in a long run.
85mm has a useful range to work with, nice for portrait at same time creates a safe distant for macro-ed objects, I feel the 105mm a bit far
