weikee, JinXXX, thanks. The "snoop" function is useful. I chose a less crowded channel. My MBP shows that I'm connected at 117mbps (MCS 14). Not sure why it's only 20Mhz.  I reduced the TX Power because the MBP is just a few feet from the RB751U and did a bTest and got about 75mbps sustained.

What do you guys have as your tx-power-mode and tx-power?
*
b4 im also use RB751U AP, but not so good for me. Download speed not stable.

u can try upgrade new firmware ... to Version 5.14.

I just bought this router (mikrotik rb751u-2hnd) and I have a question. I connected to my modem and enabled PPPOE mode. How can I restart my connection if needed? Normally routers have a restart button like my previous D-Link, lol. I can't seem to find any options in this case?
*
u just disable and enable PPPOE client then ok already.

If u want to restart router also can, go ---> SYSTEM ---> REBOOT.

Thank you. biggrin.gif

Thanks kaisam smile.gif You mean there's no option for "restart" and the only thing possible is "disable/re-enable"? Btw, how can I increase the TX-power? I can't seem to find the command/UI to do it as well?
*
Reboot = Restart. icon_idea.gif

TX-power default is 100%. The UI at

---> Wireless ---> Interfaces ---> double click interface name ---> Advanced mode --> Tx power.

Thank you boss, I found it biggrin.gif Didn't know it was hidden. Actually what's the command to check the current Tx power? When I click on Tx power on the UI, it says 17? I thought the default is 30? During high loads, the connection strength seems to drop so I guess increasing Tx power to default 30 would help?
*
30dBm = 1W = is max.

i'm try mikrotik wireless, but is not stable..... cry.gif

then i'm use other brand as AP, just off mikrotik wireless.

kaisam, thanks for all the help earlier and I know you're an expert in this biggrin.gif May I ask a question? If I want to limit bandwidth for all my wireless connections, what do I need to do? I suppose I first need to create a queue and assign it to my WLAN then limit the bandwidth from there? Anything else?
*
hahaha, i'm not expert .. sweat.gif

I'm just play around for this toy.

u can limit bandwidth via each user each own bandwidth. flex.gif

can use hostspot server & radius function to limit bandwidth for lan and wlan user.

can limit by total bandwidth, rate limit, time base.

Thank you. rclxms.gif
