I have no idea where else to post this except here..hope to seek for rational advises.

Here is the story...

I have just moved in a new condo unit and renting a master bedroom, together staying with my bf, a couple (renting the middle room) and another tenant for the small room. all 3 rooms are equipped with aircond. 
before i confirm to rent the room, i have asked the house owner if all the bills are equally shared and the owner said yes, everything share equally so no argument.
but when we received the current month electricity bill, it costs almost RM300, which the previous months only about Rm150-Rm170 but no one is occupying the master room for previous months.

the problem is the couple who occupying the middle room are not happy with the high utilities and claimed that my bf and i causes the hike of electricity usage. we only on the aircond at night as we are out for working during daytime.

so here is their reason for refusing to pay equal share of the bill.
- their aircond was not functioning for the past 2 weeks.
- we are staying in high floor so they feel cold most of the time therefore they didn't on the aircond.
- so at the end they only willing to pay the least and master room and the small room have to pay most of it because we use aircond frequently.
here's their calculation. RM300/4 - the couple in the middle room will pay for 1 portion, and the other 3 portions bared by me and the single tenant. 

btw, is that my problem that they don't want to use the aircond?
am i obligated to listen to their so-called reasons and pay more than what i'm supposed to? it was agreed that everything divides equally so am i the wrong one for not paying more than the divided amount?

i'm quite frustrated because it happened twice, the house i stayed previously and the current house. i don't understand why is it so hard to find nice housemates who are willing to talk nicely instead of yelling at ppl for those reasons which don't make any sense to me...

advise needed, am i the wrong one?
