Okay, just finished the campaign recently and I'll have to say, the writing is really weak this time...

I played the game to find out more about Myrrah and the Locusts but then it seems that the story is told in the collectibles which is stupid as I wanted to experience the background story in the cutscenes and dialog itself.

Can anyone tell me more about Myrrah and how she became the Queen despite being a human?

If you played Gears2 there was a level where Marcus was @ a secret mountain top research facility.

In that level there was giant test tube with locust-human hybrids called Sires. It was speculated that the COG was secretly splicing locust and human DNA to create supersoldiers/more imulsion resistant workers.

One of the collectibles on that level mentioned that one little girl manage to escape from the facility. It is speculated that this lil girl was Myrrah.


Oooor wait till the launch official DLC to explain the story.


If you have the Special Edition with the Design Book, Epic said their intention was never to tell a *great* story, they just wanted to make a fun shootey game.
*also during their design process, the levels was built first, then the story was only written for it. this is not uncommon in game development*

the gears 3 campaign isnt as good as gears 2 campaign. The story feels like a cheap B grade movie. Length is longer, but quality not so.

i believe the upcoming dlc campaign will include some bit of it. As for now, there are no accurate explanation about it.

If you played some where in the middle of Azura, Adam Fenix wanted to tell Marcus about Myrrah, he push it away. It seem like Adam had a deal with Myrrah a long time ago.
