My iphone4 is now at 4.2.1jailbroken, its possible upgrade to 4.3.3 and keeping the jb ?

The way Cydia automatically saves the SHSH is that you need to open Cydia a couple of times DURING the period Apple is Signing the firmware version.

For example, if you are jailbroken on 4.2.1 and never upgraded to 4.3.3 BUT, during the time Apple was still sigining 4.3.3, you opened up Cydia to update some tweaks, to download new tweaks etc, most likely Cydia will then automatically try and save your SHSH.

This was how it worked before. The easiest way to check is to open up Cydia now and see what SHSH is saved (you will see at the top of the Cydia window). If no 4.3.3 is mentioned, then, most likely it was not saved. But Cydia sometimes does not display it as well even though it saved it so download TinyUmbrella and in the Advance Tab, check the box that says "Requests SHSH from Cydia". Click on "Saved SHSH" and see what the messages that pops-up. If Cyida has the SHSH, then TinyUmbrella will get it for you and save it locally.

If TinyUmbrella says that Cydia does not have the 4.3.3, then that's that .... you cannot restore to 4.3.3 EVER.

Question:
After upgrading to 5.0.1, I chose to 'Set Up as New iPhone'. But I forgot to backup my SMS.
- Is there a way to 'view' those SMS from the iTunes backup? Or to restore to this backup?

my cydia can't launch.. can i re jb again or another alternative way to do it?

now im already in 5.01, if i dont want restore and use update to JB. isit ok?

im facing error of exploit failed when trying to jailbreak with latest redsnow..anyone can help??

now im stuck, restoring also prob with ctrl shift + restore
now im trying out normal restore

Is not an issue on Cydia. Just that it is very very slow on updating all the package.. If u notice that Cydia has been update to ver 1.13.. The server could be overloaded.. i am in doubt if u go back to 4.3.3, it will help..

try respring..

all my white icons dissappear after respring..if once still cant respring again.

I can't seems to update/download packages from cydia....everytime get "error: POSIX operation timeout"....anyone knows how to solve it? Can't do anything w/o updating cydia,my list is empty...
