Panasonic GT series picture processor engine quite same to VT.

ST and GT use same anti-reflective coating panel.

Here the chart for your reference.

+1 ! Thanks! biggrin.gif

QUOTE(chungf1 @ Jul 10 2012, 10:10 PM)
The Infinite Black Ultra panel which should give you about 10% better black levels than Infinite Black Pro panel.
That’s one difference but they both have great panels.

Infinite Black Pro
=============
24p Cinematic Playback 48 Hz

Infinite Black Ultra
=============
24p Cinematic Playback 96 Hz/48 Hz
ISFccc (Advanced Calibration)

In fact the Infinite Black Pro panel was the panel used on the VT30 with included 24p Cinematic Playback 96hz/48hz and ISFccc - from 2011 the top end model.

Many thanks to iamsobloodysick for the delivery yesterday! Very pleased with the GT50 although the man of the house did want a 55" of the GT series ^^;;

We've bought 3 Panasonic plasmas from seller within 4 years and nothing but satisfaction for us ^^

Anyone encounter black bar/ frame all around the screen for GT50? Is it natural? This is when 16:9 overscan is ON (bar is about half cm). When OFF, it is about one and half cm all around the corner of the screen. It happens in all channels SD, HD, and Bluray.

Is it normal though?? Never happened to us on our V20. We just switched to the GT50 a week ago. Is it normal?

It happens to me for ST50 or even the old V20 when I connect my laptop to the TV using HDMI.

Added on September 5, 2012, 2:29 pmWhen the TV came, we checked the picture quality and scrutinized the entire screen but didn't notice it before. Until today. Needed to make sure everything is okay as we're sticking to THIS TV for the next 3 years. Thanks in advance.

It's Normal.smile.gif

But I found out the 11n Wireless card built in the ST50 was a bit slow in transmission (caused lagging) as compares to my PS3 on streaming the same YouTube movie from the same AP which was pretty smooth.

Weird  shakehead.gif

Anyone facing this problem ??  icon_question.gif  hmm.gif

Bro stringfellow, iamsobloodysick is a straight up guy. This is my 3rd tv (50GT50) from him in 4 years. I know you pissed because you bought something expensive and I will feel the same too. Whatever it is can be rectified, so just settle this amicably. All the best to you.

Can anyone share their experience tweaking the User Mode Equaliser so that I don't need to rely on my 5.1 all the time. Thanks!

Anyone knows what size are the 3D glasses bundled with the GT50 ? We find it way too big for our 4 year old daughter - wondering anyone knows where to get Panasonic 2012 3D eyewear (child-sized). I know Amazon carries it but it's USD83. Thinking I'd search local retailers first.

I've never experience the true quality of a plasma before. Should i jump ship from LED to plasma? Been thinking about it for months. Planning to get a ST50 by the way.

A friend send me a link regarding IR on Panasonic model

http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-33199_7-57449...l-burn-in-test/

GT & ST using same panel. What say you guys?
*
We got our GT50 for almost 2 months now and we didn't even run break in slides at all. And we play a lot of PS3 and so far we see no IR. Sometimes you cannot believe everything you read in forums as it can be biased. Just my 2 cents. Nobody in their right mind would leave static image for more than 12 hrs and we switch our TV on almost 18 hrs per day as we work from home.

We're using 50GT50 for over 2 months and we have no IR issues at all, even though we watch a lot of ASTRO, play PS3 and Bluray every day. We're glad we bought the GT series instead of ST because we checked and discovered lots of ST issues even from consumers in other forums.

Sorry to say we tried everything including changing the country to SG, but to no avail. Gotta bear with it. Plus we don't Youtube much on TV, so this is bearable I suppose. BUT SO UTTERLY IDIOTIC to force BM on us. sleep.gif
