i just realized newspaper that SenQ selling Panasonic TH-P50X38K latest model @ RM3799
wondering what the spec differences between 30K and 38K...

Time to wait another price drop of 30K... drool.gif
*
I saw somewhere around the thread mentioned TH-P50U30K was around RM2800? That's full HD compared to TH-P50X38K which I believe was a HD ready model..

got HD ready model sure got Full HD model like U30K and X30K but of cos the price is higher if FHD...
that why SenQ get lower spec model for sales 1st for X38K HD ready... be patient wait for U38K Full HD... smile.gif
*
You can't understand my post above. I mean why you want to get a HD ready model TH-P50X38K for RM3799 from SenQ while you can get a Full HD model TH-P50U30K for RM2799? If's there's model such as TH-P50U38K & TH-P50X38K, that's just those so called 'Exclusive' model for SenQ with the same spec of TH-P50U30K and TH-P50X30K.

TH-P50U30K was 2011 model. Don't listen to bulls**t from those sales at SenQ or others big outlet if they say it's discontinued. They just want to push their so called exclusive model.

bas12,

I faced the same problem on other shop seller for 50u30k model.
actually I did pay the booking fees, currently just try to wait and see how. =.=
Dear others,
If not mistaken, the U series should be launched at 2011 March, how come this model to be discontinued so fast?
Which is the new model going to replace it?

Thanks....

i never means to get latest model...
what i means is if 38k series launched, definitely 30k series will drop price here like what u said and what i said in Post #74
i still will get 30k but wait for another price drop if confirmed SenQ's 38k was the 1st batch of "latest" model...

anyway, still managed to google X38k with 42" and 50" which the contents fall under panasonic japan... but still seem dont have U38k yet...

TH-P50U30K can be found at RM2799 or even lower, which's way cheaper than RM3799 TH-P50X38K HD ready model.. which to me considered a good buy already for a 50" Full HD model. So, there's no point looking at a HD ready model. Also, it's not the replacement model for the X30 or U30 series..
I believe those 'exclusive' model will be available only via SenQ or the rest of large outlet such as Tesco, Jusco etc..

Going by Panny's past practice, the X38K is just a different version of X30K but still belongs to the 2011 family of models.

The 2012 models will likely have 40K in their model names if the naming convention continues.

Just like the 28K vs 20K, the 28K model is solely sold by Jusco (?). So, the 38K models are maybe sold by certain retailers?

P50U30k price dropped to rm2799? Where can i get this price in Penang/Butterworth/Kulim area ? Best i found is rm3050 c/w 5 yrs warranty..
*
RM3050 for TH-P50U30K should be considered a good buy if RM2799 with a standard 2 years warranty. Panasonic extended warranty to 5 years normally at least cost RM250.

Hi,

Just bought a NEW 42u30k from a trader here. I checked the usage hours it says 366, and also powered on 52 times. is this normal? If so, please tell me. Or is this likely a display unit?

Need advice. thanks,

MJ
*
Most probably a display unit or else it won't be switched on so many time and more than 300 hours used..

change your HDD format to FAT32 first.

FAT32 format had the disadvantage of max file size 4GB. Those mkv, m2ts etc file which's above 4GB can be stored in that HDD then. whistling.gif

Personally I would expect my purchase in a perfect working conditions on arrival. For bro stringfellow's case, he definitely entitled to a one to one exchange as that shows Panasonic deficiency in QC before the unit left its factory.

Don't tell me a perfect working bluetooth module that passed QC test at the factory will fail due to transportation as bluetooth module definitely not as fragile as that.

Hope that you can help me here.

Tried to hook up my Dell laptop to my V50K last night using HDMI cable. Selected the right HDMI channel on my V50K but still saw nothing.

I thought this is plug and play. What do I need to do to connect my laptop to my V50K ? I thought I have followed what was stated in the manual.

Many thanks.
*
huh.. I thought yours is V20K? When did you upgrade your TV? smile.gif At the laptop, you still need to select the display just like the way you choose either laptop screen/projector/external display..

hm, heard from the sales man saying that the glasses will be charged wirelessly via Bluetooth connection, maybe this is why there is no cable? hmm.gif

I don't think Bluetooth function as charger as well.. That shouldn't be part of Bluetooth spec..

I see... those numbers are quite misleading smile.gif

Makes sense then. Because I remember buying my 50" some years back, it was almost 2x from the next smaller size at 40++ inches.

Don't forget the X60 was a HD model compared to S60 which's a Full HD model

The not-so-smart Smart Viera LED TV. The only output I can see is the tiny "digital audio output" port. My old LCD tv used to have those red-white audio out put that I can channel it to my home theater. How should I output audio from this viera?

Sometime it's easier if you do list out your HT model so that people around here can see what's the connection option available and suggest. In this case, if your HT have the optical input, just get a fiber optic cable then it's settled..
