why do you need any recommendation other than Panasonic when you are at this thread and somemore, you quote the VT30 which is the high end panny models and the best TV for 2011

bro Man

is it 55VT50K as i remember malaysia only import 55" model this year for VT series or is it the VT30 .

for this year PQ, panny have up the ante as the ST50 is very good in PQ and black levels and the VT would be mouth watering

the best TV nowadays all come with 3D features . for future proof and for the fun of it , you may want it afterall price have drop a lot since its introduction 2+ years ago

i saw the ST50 side by side with the UT50 and XT50 series last weekend at megamall and the ST50 easily beat them all in PQ with impressive low black level and brighter whites too. the design for this year panny models especially the ST50 are exceptional good

panny have finally discarded its always (except the V or VT series )conservative and boring look. good on them

can't wait for malaysia's foremost calibrator anfieldude to give us his insights

our lyn seller iamsobloodysick also sell at good price. hope he can keep it down

the US haven't done any review yet on the VT50 as it has not hit their shores , only in UK . although the review on the 50" is mainly positive , the ST50 has prevail as the best value buy

Hi SunnyK, which shop did u go to compare the St50? I am interested in ST50 too but haven't seen an actual unit yet to decide. Thanks!

the panny malaysia was at midvalley's megamall 2 weeks ago . 3 models side by side and the ST50 is the easy winner. the other 2 i believe is the XT and UT

the ST50 will win hands down for best value for price and performance ratio

there will be a 55'' but for VT series, my guess , it will sell for RRP 9.9k to 10.9 k , and if my prediction is correct , worth the money compare with sammy LED 55/ES8000 which at RRP 18k is a real parang sword price

Samsung after establishing itself as world no 1 seller have embark on a sony style pricing.

A one-to-one exchange? Since the product is barely 24 hours out of its manufacturing box? That's what I see most reputable store entities do for purchases that is less than 24 hours. Hell, I see cases where folks get their products replaced one-to-one for items within the 7 days period! And this case with you is less than a day old. I buy this so that I can straight away use it, you have a better relationship with your distributor, you send the defective product back to your distributor and deal with that, NOT THE CUSTOMER. The customer is supposed to get this product DEFECT-FREE, not deal with YOUR responsibility of dealing with defective products and calling service centers left and right!

So the way you dealt with your sales is that good solds is out of your responsibility once it steps out of your delivery lorry, is it? Even if the product is less than 24 hours old? How easy it is for you to just dust off your hands and pass defective products to your customer!

I will need your company's registration number and full name, if this matter is not resolved by the time this week is over, it'll be escalated to the consumer claims tribunal. And I'm already filing up Form 1 of the claim already.

Do not test me, I've done more for lesser things than this. My profession allows me to see the extent of things consumers have the rights to, and what his/her rights are as a consumer. I know my rights, and I KNOW FOR A FACT that you're not being responsible as the representative of Panasonic's dealer with the way sneak around from dealing with the issue at hand here.

as a consumer ,i can't help but admire you in your pursuit for what you believe is your right as a consumer and that you have been unjustifiably treated

for all consumer do not wish to purchase something which is faulty and discover the dealer/distributor wash their hand and pass responsibility to manufacturer and let consumer deal with it alone

perhaps , you should let iamsobloodysick have one last chance to assist. i heard many positive remark about him

Dont mislead and talk like an expert if you aint one. Twice better than vt 50 and you must be kidding and better than vt60 you must be joking. You are probably fooled by the extreme brightness this display model is capable of in brightly lit showroom.
It is a good model though and Sammy has made tremendous improvement over last year similar flagship plasma model but so has panny this year 60s series model across the board.
What I fear is Sammy may make it too bright for this model panel and hence less durable but what I like is the new pricing at rm 13.999k for 64in if I remember correctly

The black level of this sammy is similar to the vt50 but the vt60 is more impressive in this respect but the Sammy with near Lcd brightness should suit day viewing.i read this f8500 may have issue such as fluctuating brightness which under daytime viewing may not be a problem but under controlled low light night viewing may be disturbing per my previous experience in my v20 series. Anyway all TV have issues even the forth coming Oled is not spare? Enjoy the vt60 or even the f8500 when you have it as much as i have mine on my vt50. Btw, what is the best deal for this f8500 model ?
