Contrast is about right if u want to hit 30-40ft/L.
However, if the set is still new, might be better to avoid static logos and black bars till it beds in.
Ur brigthness setting is not quite right, unless u r using PC level video and trying to clamp it down to ensure its showing video level settings. For normal BD viewing, its close to 0. Also, I don't recall needing to use tint as it has a CMS. Is this with True Cinema mode? TrueCinema mode has the most accurate setting to start with for gamma tracking.
Did u calibrate white balance?
i didnt calibrate the white balance as the SypderTV only calibrates contrast, brightness, colour, tint and colour temperature.
i started it off with using Normal for calibration because this TV does not have the option to calibrate Colour Balance once TrueCinema has been enabled.
with this brightness setting, i am still able to see all the shades of grey and black in the grey scale chart but i cant really differentiate the last 2 shades of whites.
i feel that there are a lot of things left to calibrate but the Spyder3 has too limited function.
