Added on October 22, 2011, 8:55 amDear Guys,
I have caroline wozniaki yonex for sale (used twice): RM400
Just realised that HK is quite a decent place to get some sporting goods.
I saw adidas barricade 6 murray selling for only RM234.
And my friend also bought a yonex arc sabre something something (I think so) badminton racquet for RM460. He told me the best price here is around RM800.
So guys if you happen to be there, look out for some good deals.
wahhh, is it that hard to distinguish authentic and fake racquets? got a used Babolat APDC for rm250 off mudah a few weeks ago (popped the cap, looked authentic to me), nearly got an APDC from the same guy who's selling that K-Factor for rm250 (it seems that most of his racquets are rm250, which was kinda a telltale sign).
So it seems I shouldn't buy those tennis shoes from mudah (saw one at rm130, was interested for a while).
aero storm gt - rm380
yonex caroline wozniaki racquet - rm380
both seldom used, come come....price dropped heheh
ok, this is the 100th time im saying im joining u guys for a morning tennis session, and i hope this time i can wake up early....i will not go clubbing tonite in hope that i can wake up....arghhhh....see u guys:)
my history? i played tennis a long long time ago... starting primary school at age 7 till i last played officially in 2001 when i'm in form 5... since then i did not play anymore and focus more on football and futsal and also volleyball in my degree
so already bout 10 years since i left tennis and my last play during 2008 bout 30 minutes using my 2001 tennis racquet.. and now with belly at my body i just follow tennis on TV i'm not sure if i can make a good forehand or double backhand nowadays since my friends ask me to play again i want to play it seriously and happily
so, thanks for the info... really appreciate it..
nice, tennis is like riding a bicycle, when u have it, after 10 years u will still have it with a little bit of fitness and stroke polish.....im sure u will be damn good player in 2-3 months time....
Don't worry. all tennis players are fussy. We are all dead of some form of OCD. trust me. Oh... so you were a junior player back then? competitive? Doesn't really matter... cause it just means you're not a COMPLETE beginner. In that case, it's just about getting back your rhythm... If you want to be SERIOUS in it as you say, then it's really also 50% skill training and 50% fitness training too. It is inevitable. You need to be fit to be a bit better in the game. You can be excellent in theory and are an EXCELLENT ball striker but if you cannot get into the right position to hit the ball as you would want most of the time, there is no point.
I'm sure for an ex-player such as yourself, it's a matter of time when the instinct of the game starts to kick in. 10 years sounds like it's a long time but if you were a serious player back then, I think it shouldn't be a problem... given time and patience. I left tennis quite some time too. NOT 10 years though... more of like 4-5 years.... getting back was indeed tough I tell you. Coming from a guy who also left tennis for a little while, getting back on form after a few good days of hitting will be PURE addiction. If you're really serious in getting back into the game, it won't be impossible. Just remember, 50/50 fitness and skill training.
I sincerely hope you pick it back up after hearing your story.
well said, i took time off from tennis about 8 years.....and came back without focusing on fitness and now i am an injured tennis player....those coming back player, please get ur muscle and fitness back before you go all out whacking ok:) :
better not play.....not worth aggravating a injury...which will lead to more injuries......then you have chronic injury for life.......better rest, got approval from your doctor and then go for physio....and then play.....
Good luck to those joining the upcoming CTO event.....no worries guys, im sure u all will do well....all damn terror nowadays from my observation on court and in forum
as for me seldom play and still have not recover from injury (ie shoulder) hahaha, really need to go to TKs doctor in SJMC leow
cto coming, nvm la, let the water flow it self and see how deep we all can go:).....if i can go main draw i happy leow hehe
