what can i say bout this that your statement is completely bullsh*t.

been in this career more than 3 years. what can i say, i met more gay, drug addict, gambler, and hiv positive people on shore than at sea.

we seaman nowadays undergo more rules and regulation.

no drug n alcohol onboard. and furthermore strict medical checkup performed forbid anyone with STD to sail.

thank you all. sorry for deserting all of you. luckily there's many other here lend me a helping hand on answering all the inquiry. ohhh. you guys should be briefed before you go onboard. captain is right because usage of electrical n electronic are forbidden in most part of the ship except inside accommodation. this is due to the possibility to create spark n static electricity which could cause fire and explosion. you guys o the other hand should be briefed 1st because what does 1st timer know bout this. this is no one fault. everyone trying to do their job.

i left aet direct after graduation. never serve them after that. yep. they're paying me a lot more. and i'm now 3rd engineer already.
*
im sure those was scold was by captain onboard bm5
wow , they pay more than aet? what's the name of the company?
how do you join the company?

QUOTE(ZenXL @ Nov 18 2013, 10:43 PM)
hello everyone,

im almost done with my spm and i am currently interested in joining ALAM after my uncle suggested this idea to me.

im wondering, what is the requirements and how would the process be like? how long do i need to study and which state will i be located at?

thanks in advance.
*
first thing ,
dont forget you english , math problem solving , physic and bm because you will have to go through entrance test
do brush your knowledge regarding the shipping industry for the interview
never ever answer you join this career for money , tell them you just want to give better future for your family;.
make sure you get atleast c for bm math physic and english for ur spm

1 year u will be junior cadet
1 year at sea but u r given 16 month to complete your seatime
1 year as senior cadet at college

u will only have 2 week semester break , and 1 week midsem break
best internet is yes4g currently
the college will be in melaka masjid tanah

the best sponsor ,any other sponsor than misc or aet .
better if you get offshore company or other non shipping company sponsor

He ask me to wait for the second interview. Do you know when the 2nd batch start? I heard it was about june or july last time...I scare if I failed to join ALAM then I cant join other college also becoz it's already July/August

I see... I asked the guy ( Mr Safuan) about what the sponsorship included and he say there was no such thing as SPONSOR... It's just a loan and we need to pay back after finish study and the cost is RM83k... is that true? No sponsorship just loan? But that guy like blur blur 1
*
you pay back the company if you want to break bond with them or else work with them , like misc and aet , u r require to serve them with 1st class coc for 5 years , for mara yes its a loan , jpa is scholar ..90% of alam cadet are being sponsor most of it by shipping company ..u can pay 83k if u want to join as selfpaid cadet , you are not bond with any company ,so you can work anywhere you want after grad

Hi im am a matriculation student.
I am really interested to be a seafarer.
But,i want to apply (sains nautica dan pengangkutan maritim)in UMT(universiti malaysia terengganu).
So,i want to know, after i have completed my degree, how can i be a deck captain?
And is it possible for a woman captain?
Can anyone share their experiment when they take this degree from this uni?

Any help from you guys would be really helpful.
😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
*
yes it is possible , as long you completed 1 year seatime as cadet onboard , then get your 3rd class coc from marine department ,
go onboard as 3rd or 2nd mate clock seatime as much as 12-36 months
register at alam for d1mc course, combine mate and master , 1 year course
get 2nd class from mardep , then sail again clock more seatimes bfore proceeding to marine department for
1st class coc ..
then you are officially captain,
yes it is possible

i have visual aid about 150 per eye, is it not possible for me to apply for the nautical studies course?
*
can you pass the eye sight test?
if you manage to pass that with medical checkup ,then you can try your luck..
if youre already an officer , having eye sight issue is normal , bt not during enrollment
