GOTOH AH-1 BRIDGE PICK-UP - 1X

Got both of this as part of my LP upgrade plans but both the LPs are sold and this two fabulous pups are no longer needed. The Gotoh AH-1 is in deed the legendary VH-1 found in all the MIJ Burny / Fernandes Les Paul. Gotoh renamed these as AH-1 as Fernandes / Burny owns the right to the VH-1 name. They both are in fact the same. Made in Japan. These sought after pickups are regarded as one of the best stock LP pups with great warmth, sustain and response dynamics. These are the braided metal wires versions (closer specs to the VH-1). Some members from the Tokai forum also speaks of 'em as "lively, snarly, great top end and fat bottom end without being mushy or boomy". Both of this zebra pups are still new, they've never been installed and comes with the spring and screws. Selling cheaply at SOLD (firm..best price). Great upgrades to your existing stock pups and at this price, its a great deal for a MIJ pups!!. LAST UNIT - Grab it before its gone...!!.

hi bro... am very interested in these pickups but... I've also heard that these pickups are unpotted(not waxed) And therefore, quite microphonic, which i think is not very suited for high gain stuff. But i play stuffs from softjazz to hard rock, so i dunno if these pickups suits me, and btw, are they splittable? Cuz i can't see the wires properly in the photo and i dunno whether there is the option for split coil. I wanted something versatile

Thanks for the interest. I'm not sure if they're unpotted but I've no issues driving them through a high gain 5150 amp before..in fact, they sounded reallyy good.. biggrin.gif ....they're not splitable..purely for 3 way switching only though...hehe..but well, they're pretty versatile as if you do some soft jazz, you can roll off the volume and the tone to achieve some amazing tone.... added a neck pick up for sale as well just in case you're keen..cheers.. \w/
