QUOTE(Odinsama @ Nov 6 2012, 04:59 PM) hye there folks! i want to ask regarding the wifi booster for PS3.... do you know anything about it? the benefits or possibly the bad? u see, i need to make my day, playing online/multiplayer game without sudden dc, quitting the game, it's sucks... since my family use Unifi, since not only me use the wifi, my dad, my sis also need it, downloading movies and etc... u get it? so, do you all know anything about it? just ask... Before you get a signal booster, you have to make sure that the problems you are facing is related to wifi range rather than simply bandwidth alone. Are you still using the standard D-link router TM gave you? If so, please do yourself a favor and go get a better custom router. That router is horrible in its wifi range, horrendous in fact. I assume you are on 5mbps Unifi, if you are... it should be enough for any type of online gaming regardless if they are downloading or not. Just limit their download speeds individualy, normal web surfing wouldn't pose any problems.

QUOTE(Odinsama @ Nov 7 2012, 09:05 PM) before this my home wifi were poor at upstairs, i placed my PS3 upstairs and home computer were there, i can't move PS3 in my room (so small only) but the wifi speed on downstair were excellent.. then, it has been upgraded/added with wifi booster... im enjoying with the booster when they have installed the booster... after that, still, if they download or live streaming video, it takes a lot of data... so, i had asked permission to stop the download while i playing the game, but i don't want to get in their way ... say, is it any other way (besides play game on the other time) ? just curious to know... Some routers has QoS feature, where it allows the limitation of download speeds when you are playing a game online. So yeah, that's your only bet. The stock unifi router doesn't have this feature though. There are other ways, like getting a switch and limiting bandwidth to each and every user. But it's a lot more expensive and not worth the hassle IMO if your household is small.

QUOTE(raffie092 @ Nov 9 2012, 08:09 PM) Im thinking of getting the ps headphones. But now there are 2 versions of it right? So which one should i get? I mainly want to use it for gaming n watching movies only. Pulse Elite. The older models are about RM100+ cheaper, but I recommend you pay the extra for the Pulse Elite instead. You won't be dissapointed (other than the rather poor battery life) at RM420+ of a pair of gaming headsets.

Pulse does NOT have bluetooth support. Voice connects to the PS3 through the USB receiver.

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Nov 17 2012, 05:26 PM) I am not buying via online , just walk in to game shop around my area to get it .but want to ensure or check whether it's bootleg or original since the fake one really look 99% similar with ori one. I need some picture or way to identified fake vs ori . Only way is to open up the controller now a days, which of course you won't be able to do. Like GamersFamilia said, buy from a reputable reseller or get it from an official Sony store will guarantee you an original controller.

QUOTE(playxboxwii @ Dec 5 2012, 12:09 PM) im using the same tv also for my xbox and ps3 so i have to manually set up the screen reso in ps3 settings ?? bcause in xbox i think its already auto set to 720/1080 the difference is not much but i can still see difference and i hate bcause im playing ps3 more.. dunwan to jumpship to xbox.. Just tick these resolutions - 1080p 720p 480p (this is permanent) Most games will automatically run in 720p, games which has support for 1080p will run in 1080p. There will be some instances where a game supports 1080p, but would play like crap on that resolution yet it still defaults to 1080p (GTA4 for example). This is when you have to disable 1080p yourself manually and just run in 720p. It's stupid I know, blame Sony for not having an internal upscaler. Thankfully, only a handfull of games does this.

QUOTE(Odinsama @ Dec 5 2012, 08:10 PM) Do u all know why u play the game n getting stuck? is it b'coz of optic disc are not work efficiently? sometimes it's okay, then for a few day n stuck? why not stuck all the time? haha... clueless.. just want to understand how these machine work.. More info needed. What games are you getting freezes? It might or might not be the game (some games are just so buggy that getting freezes frequently is normal), could be other reasons too.

QUOTE(Odinsama @ Dec 5 2012, 08:15 PM) Battlefield 3... haha.. firing inside heli, destroy building, SU35 attacking me with gun... the AT soldier run away, n then stuck... so much frustrated... haha... n can i upgrade my PS3 memory? 160GB to higher GB? how ah? Didn't play BF3 on the PS3, so I can't say much on this. Ask the players on the BF3 thread. As for the PS3's HDD, yes you get a bigger capacity HDD. How? Read first page, info is all there.

If you have the money to spare, then you've got a choice to get a dedicated external DAC/AMP. For example, the Turtle Beach DSS2 - http://www.turtlebeach.com/product-detail/...r-force-dss2/33This would allow you to connect any analog stereo headset to the PS3 with the added benefit of a headphone amp. No voice chat however. There are cheaper amps out there that performs even better, but I cannot guarantee if they will work properly with the PS3 or not.
