i think the team played better than the match against arsenal...as for the goal conceded, again, poor defending from right side. very vulnerable there
meireles is doing good luiz, cant blame him for not scoring the penalty. he shoot towards the far left side and the keeper chose the perfect direction but sadly, we lost the opportunity to take 3 points in order to secure qualification to last 16 |

back to back defeat at stamford bridge, the pressure is all on AVB now.
honestly, i think epl title is out of our grasp already right now. even though i did said that during last season's mid season slump and it didn't seemed so, but it did seemed so right now. the top 4 is the most realistic target now.. im pretty frustrated like most of u guys..such poor defending and always costs us the game. it's just the 13th game and we're already losing 4 times, i hope this does not continue like last season's slump This post has been edited by masterpoloking: Nov 21 2011, 03:18 AM |

QUOTE(volrath @ Nov 21 2011, 05:37 AM) What a way to celebrate my birthday... agreed on the ball passed to mikel. cech shouldn't have done that. there is a half time analysis where they drew out that mikel is surrounded by 3-4 red shirts and if he lost the ball, the ball can go either left or right. poor decision....All I got was a pat in the back from my gf Everytime Luiz held the ball, I've had goosebumps -.- The 1st goal, Cech shouldn't passed the ball to Mikel, Liverpool closing down really fast. But Mikel wasn't in the position to receive the ball either... and, why are we playing really high defensive line....Liverpool have speedsters. 2nd goal, I saw a Messi tearing down our 3-4 men.. and he's a RB. Tsk... nevertheless, it's hurting to accept the fact that chelsea had lost back to back home game....since 2001 |

City has been in tremendous form so far, winning 11 out of 12 games and 1 draw...plus scoring at least 2-3 goals in every game. It depends on whether they can maintain this form during December-January tight schedule.
CA sacking..i believe its mainly due to him winning the double in maiden season and winning nothing in 2nd season, due to nov-dec-jan serious slump. That time chelsea only manage to get about 9-10 points out of possible 30+ points...cant recall correctly though. just a rough figure |

we're in third place now. a draw against valencia will not qualify us to round of 16 because valencia just increased their GD by 7. we nid a win against valencia next

if this continues on..
a. chelsea had a narrow win against valencia, proceeds to round of 16 and lost at round of 16. b. lost/draw against valencia, unable to proceed to round of 16. avb gets to keep his job for another season c. lost/draw against valencia, unable to proceed to round of 16. avb sacked by ra. chelsea has never fail to qualify to round of 16 since roman's era. if avb is unable to bring chelsea to round of 16, do u think he is still able to keep his job ? not that im trying to be negative, but i dont think so.. |

somehow we're still 2nd at the group standings ? our GD is 6 and valencia is 8. i guess this has something to do with home and away advantages ?

initially because of the poor form in epl, we all thought that focusing on uefa cl is much realistic..and hoped for a win yesterday to ensure qualification to round of 16. who knows, the situation is much more worst now.
well, a win or a 0-0 draw will bring chelsea to round of 16. oh wait..we can't keep a clean sheet can we ? so we can only hope for a win >< |
