Hi all, I'm now looking at GF2... Till now, I just can only realized that GF2 come with kit lens (14-42mm) & pancake (14mm).. Can any1 tell me the differences ?? I'm confused now...

In what condition we need pancake ?

BTW, I need advice, should I trade in my LX3 ( 9 months warranty left) for M43 ?

a noob question here

how come my histogram graph keep on left to middle but my exposure is showing toward positive side when i,m using old school lens? The result of tis shot in tis situation is the picture are correctly taken same as wat my exposure show. Meaning that if exposure is positive, the picture will bright. Rather than histogram graph keep on showing left (dark)

Histogram reading :

left - black
right - white
middle - contrast

tats my understanding

open photoshop and play level, u'll see the histogram and adjust it then u'll understand how it works

just did mine, nothing went wrong, but can't test them, because i didnt own either EVF or eye-fi card.

but sure it feels good to get updated.. lols

i'm candid photographer and Still art lover, need to use some external flash and zoom or micro lens which micro 4thirds camera is fit to me, my option is:
1. Panasonic lumix GF Series
2. Olympus Pen Series
3. Sony NEX series

Budget As Cheap As Possible..

for candid photographer, i think u want something fast and snappy, but also cheap.

go for olympus e-pm1 and any fast prime lens like oly 45mm or 12mm f2 or PL 20mm or PL 25mm.

oly 45mm costs only about rm1k.

e-pm1 kit costs about rm1880

can't say much about gf series, but i think oly is focusing faster compare to panasonic at this moment.

camera not cheap actually, because of its small size camera plus DSLR Quality plus interchangeable lens.

all is about RM1900+ come with single kit lens. perhaps u can get old version like epl1, ep1 etc.. may be cheap but also around RM1700+

yes.. saw the promo in harvey norman EPL1 15xx/16xx i forgot, but it's old tech i think even i like the body design..

nvrmind, bought one for myself, been testing quickly, direct mode to ios/android is quite fast and acceptable, but through wifi router is quite slow and pain in the ass :$

GF3 with standard lens selling for RM 1.7 k. This is PnS price range.
Is the pancake zoom available yet with the GF3?
