hi,

i lost my cabinet drawer key... anyone care to share his/her similar experience in opening drawers? i have tried several ways, using cards, other keys and even needles to no avail... sad.gif

is it possible to ask the locksmith to make me a new key based on the serial no written on the keyhole of the drawer? i have keys of other similar drawers...

last resort i will have to use a hammer to break it which i prefer not to coz it belongs to my office..

depends on the type of drawer actly

my office drawer for example can be opened by plying a screwdriver from the bottom.

try looking for any slots on the underside

ask your HR whether they keep the master key or not. normally they do as in my office, i just tell them the series number.

I use normal triangle paper clip, no twisting or bending required.
Just insert & twist to the opening direction while jingle up and down, and the lock is opened within 5 minutes once the tumbler is set.

If got similar keys, even easier.
Same method as above, and it can be opened too within 5 minutes.

I already demo to my office colleagues on the cabinets & office block mailbox using only 1 triangle paperclip when they lost the keys.
Also able to open my friend's house computer room which he accidentally locked with this method using a similar fit key since he don't actually have the room key.

Locksmiths also use this same technique too with custom tools, so they can open the locks even faster than me.
