No jitters. Rock solid. Feels pretty different yet so similar to the Xai.The SteelSeries Thread V7, UPDATED NOTIFICATION BOARD

Weight's more or less the same. But unless I'm having a slight bias now, the Xai feels a little heavier.

QUOTE(rurushu @ Sep 21 2011, 11:01 PM) Wa.... the description.... really so geng???? Or is it over exaggerating? Well the pad and mouse were developed side by side thus making it the best companion. But seriously, the glide makes it feel like it's just very floaty.hard mats are really so good for laser mice? |

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Sep 25 2011, 09:29 PM) Anyway, there are 2 shops in SS15, Subang Jaya selling Steelseries products already. One is Moderno and the other is called Heavy Arm, also in SS15, just 2 mins walk from Moderno. I wonder if they are starting a war among each other. QUOTE(AlamakLor @ Sep 25 2011, 09:39 PM) They are probably coexisting peacefully. Don't need 2 minutes, Heavy Arm is just across the street from Moderno.Interestingly enough, Razer sponsored Moderno's signboard while SteelSeries did for Heavy Arm. Besides some peripherals, the target market is different. Custom PC stuff and peripherals for Moderno, console stuff and games for Heavy Arm. So it's all cool. QUOTE(Everdying @ Sep 26 2011, 05:54 PM) I thought you sold it already? |

If there is one minor problem I have with the Ikari Laser, is that once I got the Xai and kept it in storage for a while, the rubber surface became all sticky.

QUOTE(sai86 @ Sep 29 2011, 08:58 AM) really? u can always wipe off any dirt or sticky thing on it right? i juz worry the rubber might spoiled if cleaned it wit water for long term, but rubber is a better grip than plastic... It's not dirt or what, it's probably the resin or adhesive that's slowly melting off and appearing on the surface. QUOTE(andrewtho @ Sep 29 2011, 09:51 AM) Alex, I'd blame the heat for that. My Ikari Laser is still fine inside the box for like 6-7 months untouched. Lol Probably. Though I keep my mouse in the open.QUOTE(Clem1982 @ Sep 29 2011, 10:02 AM) LOL I thought that the rubber surface would get sticky because of usage... didn't expect it to become like that in storage... anyway what did u do with the Ikari Laser?? Didn't get sticky from usage, got sticky from lack of usage. Wish there was a way to re-apply the surface I think I'll go peel off the rubber surface one day. QUOTE(b3nji23 @ Sep 29 2011, 12:38 PM) Agree with you... my ex-Kinzu suffered the peeling from the matte rubber coating and sticky feel (aka resin rot) Peeling? Oh wow. Mine wasn't that bad. so I avoided the Xai and went for the Sensei My peeling ex-Kinzu ![]() ![]() Added on September 29, 2011, 12:48 pm I tried to rename my profile to "Aa" but after restarting my pc it still defaults back to the Aion orange LED settings Guess I will stick to unticking the msconfig startup service till SS releases a new driver version I renamed mine as "Aa - iVantage". After that, it doesn't toggle to the Aion profile anymore. |

Nope, just renamed it and it was okay?
Yeah, Windows 7 64-bit. Added on September 29, 2011, 5:35 pm QUOTE(sai86 @ Sep 29 2011, 04:05 PM) Mine didn't really give way. Almost 22 months with the Ikari Laser already and then it got sticky. This post has been edited by AlexLai: Sep 29 2011, 05:35 PM |

QUOTE(TechnoG @ Oct 4 2011, 04:50 PM) Looks grand, but the gloss... QUOTE(antonio @ Oct 4 2011, 09:13 PM) It was Hong Kong iirc.QUOTE(zandara @ Oct 4 2011, 10:30 PM) But after burning in for 200 hours, my V2 sounds pretty well decent. Not as good as my ATH-M50, but easily good enough to listen to my music without feeling 'odd' due to the sound inconsistencies. QUOTE(TechnoG @ Oct 5 2011, 04:55 PM) He wants black lah. |

I sold my black already, so can't trade.
Unless they make a version that really says that the mic has been fixed/improved, I might not get another one either. |

Slightly better than the old version. Faster loading and less laggy.

That is the official PI LYN account here. Unfortunately, there are also a few PI staff lurking around too.

QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ Oct 15 2011, 12:08 PM) The Glasses are actually Optical Glasses for hunting purpose in forest which you can see it has a yellow coating to improve eyesight and help eyes to focus more. Well it does help cut down the white glare and lighting from the screen, making it easier to stare at the screen for longer periods of time. But i only know those are for outdoors, not sure if they work infront of PC. |
