last time at pcp. 2 small kids teach me how to jump. they say "abang, lepaskan brake la...."  shocking.gif  doh.gif

Added on October 31, 2011, 2:34 pmCyphereza, pls do post the date once is confirm. i also want to learn how to jump
*
Yup. Lepaskan brake meaning, get your speed before hitting the ramp, no slowing down when hitting ramp. If you accidentally pressed your front brake while in the air, you'll nose dive. If you press your rear brake, you'll land rear wheel first. IINM hmm.gif

Okay, later I confirm with you all.

QUOTE(kaizer @ Oct 31 2011, 03:02 PM)
Err... I think you got that brake part wrong boss. Pressing the rear brake will bring the nose down. Pressing the front, should be the same, just with more intense?

To bring the nose up,  usually on MotoX it's to blip the throttle. But in MTB case, pedal like a mofo mid air to get the same gyroscopic effect? LOL

Oh, terbalik eh. laugh.gif

Hi guys,

Kuala Kangsar Jamboree
Anyone went to Kuale Kangsar Jamboree? It was a good event but spoiled by cheaters who cut in front...(if sikit ok...I think about 1000 plus cut in front)...event had 2400 participants ....but ok la ...especially the jersey they gave ...not bad

Major Problem

During the event my old problem happened again....when changing gears ...my chain gets stuck in between my crank and the frame ...
thats one problem...the major problem is it scratched my frame big time....the paint at the area is out...now its even scratching the alu...is possible to fix the frame...my concern is safety...being a hardtail and my heavy weight ...afraid it wont hold up

Scratch? Frame? Get new bike!

There are many HT frames capable of taking 140~160mm travel upfront. Transition TransAM, Giant STP and err... umm... err... Xand will kill me for this, but Banshee too. sweat.gif

I'm 5' 9", around 176cm. Using a SMALL Specialized, used SMALL Giant, used SMALL 16" Merida (felt small), used MEDIUM 17" Fuji and tried MEDIUM Santa Cruz.
You might want to try the bike first to see if it suits you. smile.gif
For XC, you might want to have a bike ngam-ngam with your body size. If you like to jump, etc. should be one size smaller.

Haha. Chill xandman, I didn't say I'm tall  sad.gif haven't see the frame ma. Asking for sifus punya advise first. smile.gif
I see. I've owned medium and large frame. Seems ok for me but geometry might be different right?
Why XC small better? Better maneuverability and easier to climb? Cannot try, only frame sad.gif but if slightly large shorter stem helps?
*
I didn't say XC small better... I said must fit ngam-ngam with your body size.
Shorter stem might help. But dunno la. Its up to you if u like big bikes or small ones...
Compare the geometry with your current bike, especially the effective top tube.
