Maybe the damping system is different than float? Float is more to XC and AM... 831 is made for 4X and DJ... but dunno la... comparing the spec, really no different at all...

QUOTE(majorsinbad @ Oct 27 2011, 03:29 PM) Guys, Marketing of the former group not as good as the latter maybe? Why do bikes like Banshees, OnOne, Van Nicholas dont get the same exposure/bandwidth to the likes of Giant, Trek, Scott, Specialized? Am sure they re just as good (if not better) but you ll hardly see them on trail or magazines... |

QUOTE(majorsinbad @ Oct 27 2011, 06:22 PM) I totally agree with you ...I didnt mean to say that popular bikes are not good ....hey Im a Yeti/Specialized fan...and Im influenced by reviews, marketing and rider's feedback... You wanna buy 575 or Enduro? Good bargain if you want... Basing your judgment on marketing is not all bad...I would think if a company can spend on marketing...then their R&D might not be so bad ... All Im saying is (and trying to clarify)...some bikes are probably good but just dont get the exposure...ie Banshee...its popular with some riders here..but you hardly see them in certain mags/reviews Added on October 27, 2011, 6:35 pm QUOTE(tareh @ Oct 27 2011, 04:52 PM) I think thats a little bit further from the truth. yesterday's sighting, a herd of demo 8s grazing quietly at Kiara. Teach me how to jump then I might buy Demo oso... ![]() FYI a full complete set Demo 8 is around RM13K - Rm14K a huge bargain if you wanna compare with the rest of the other bikes like intense, santa cruz or even giant. (Yes, only now you can see a Giant rider - Danny Hart) you have Troy Brosnan, Sam Hill, Bearclaw and Brendawg riding the SAME EXACT frame specs and winning world cup titles. plus spesh offers a 1-1 frame replacement warranty scheme. Im not sure for the rest of the owners, but as for me, since Im a fan of Sam Hill hence i bought the Demo, twice. ![]() i guess in the end, its all up to you. i had an option to get the Banshee MKI at a reduced price. yes the Legend is an awesome bike with a low BB and low head angle but all i can think off was Sam Hill in Follow Me. hence i got the Demo. kena racun baik This post has been edited by Cyphereza: Oct 27 2011, 06:35 PM |
