put the tempered glass on to a sliding autogate-style thing so u can open and close it easily?

nice feature u have there actually, is it opened to the sky? have something visual like timber louver screens if possible with high bamboo-type plants.

your house is quite interesting...usually air well is covered with blocks coz to prevent water splash when raining....yours is open....what type of house is this?

this is neat - i like it. i dont know about your budget what i would like to do with it is this:

1. close the top with a tempered glass plate rised maybe 1/2 foot stuck on stainless steel bolts; plate should ideally have slanted sides to prevent rain from pushing its way in though.

2. for the first floor i would close the side facing the door with a tinted or milky glass panel (frameless if possible) and closing the other side with a sliding door (50:50 space separation)

3. ground floor i would also opt for a sliding frameless glass solution (clear). folding looks like it provides too many trouble parts.

sliding doors i would use a hanging system with a seal so you can really close the area if you want to but you can still open it when required. shower screen ppl should be your friends. just make sure you get small door knobs and not the horrid rails.

reason: good light inflow like this, retain option to create ventilation where and when required, hot air can escape through top, oxygen gets in. you can enjoy the green from ground and first floor (i.e. grow some wall climbing plants).
