But really la, they're all bullshit.

Not being mean or what la, but RM270 could be better spend in getting better stuff, right?

RM270...? hmm.gif
i can install some sound proofing item for my car and prepare this much of $$$ for my next coming service tongue.gif

Added on September 27, 2011, 10:29 ami remember there is someone posted the sound proofing rubber for the door edge with some photo of 'Before' and 'After'... anyone here can give feedback on that? i'm now using stock rubber (FLX), and what i hear is :
5% people talking from outside
5% engine noise @ idle, 15% when cruising
10% wind sound when cruising @ 90km/h while, 15% @ 110km/h
40% motorcycle exhaust sound shakehead.gif

do all those noise can be lower down after installing the sound proofing door rubber? hmm.gif
btw, the tyre noise is for sure we can't do any for it... sweat.gif

Kenot quote %ages as above la, Bro...dunno how... blush.gif  doh.gif
However, can say both me & other half can hear clearer output from HU than before....for other half to notice that?
So most probably external noises hv been cut down... thumbup.gif

And yup, road noise NO change!! Sorry... tongue.gif

do we need to remove the stock rubber or just install it on the stock rubber? price and who should i contact to get it?
thanks bro... notworthy.gif

QUOTE(mdyNani @ Sep 27 2011, 10:46 AM)
How much for OEM rubber lining? and where u get that?

---------------------------------------------------------------
when i drive on bumpy/uneven road, i heard some sound from back like "when u shake tin with small stone inside" doh.gif .. what problem? rclxub.gif
*
the noise of stone most probably came from your tyre where small stone stuck between tyre lining, and it removed when u drive ... hmm.gif

Wa, you are maths expert la, can figure out how many %... sweat.gif

This rubber can reduce 'some degree' of engine noise, road noise, wind noise and pass by vehicle noise.

My suggestion, just change it without much consideration needed, as RM150 is not really that expensive only, it will at least improve some rather than none.
*
so the rubber cost us for RM150... hmm.gif it came with what length? or came in cut to length that fit our door edge?

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Sep 28 2011, 03:27 PM)
IMO, not really caused by those 2 factor.

CVT should give smooth ride regardless accelerate or decelerate.

I think the throttle is too sensitive which cause the jerky.

My manual in low speed also very jerky, let say in 1st or 2nd gear, have to adjust the clutch lifting in low speed, else @ 10-30km/h, either you completely no throttle or sudden accelerate. the throttle is just too sensitive until you can't accelerate smoothy.

To prove this, engage in N and slightly press your throttle, you hardly can get rpm between 1000-1500, it will suddenly jump from idle to >1500rpm, this cause the jerky.
*
QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Sep 28 2011, 04:17 PM)
hmm.gif makes sense too on the throttle part

but I did some digging too and find out that jerking during congestion is also among the CVT's (not just the PUNCH unit) bad traits. CVT adjusts the effective drive ratio for the driven speed. However, most CVTs in the market nowadays couldn't select the effective gear ratio fast enough during tailgating/bumper to bumper crawl since drivers will engage the throttle, then the brake pedal, and then the throttle again, which causes the car to jerk.
*
yeah, i suspect the throttle too since the 1st time i feel the jerk... compare to persona, the accelerate pedal is so soft and we able to accelerate smoothly.. but FLX accelerate pedal is so stiff, i think problem occur from the pedal spring (too stiff) and we need to push harder to accelerate and this lead to the sudden acceleration and cause the jerk... hmm.gif

the low fuel warning light will only light up during the last bar blinking... i use to get 60 to 70km per bar... it's mean that when you come to the last bar (static bar), u still able to drive for 30km to 40km for city drive (50km to 60km highway drive) before the last bar blinking + low fuel warning light up...

since our Saga come with 40L tank,
RM1.90 x 40L = RM76.00

for city driving (avg. 17cent/KM) we can get 380KM to 475KM
for highway drive (avg. 14cent/KM) we can get 500KM to 550KM

*note : we will for sure fill up the car when came to the last bar, but i think we can go further with the last bar... anyone dare to try the risk? brows.gif tongue.gif

get it right...40L tank yes
but the meter is only support until 30L
the leftover 10L is reserve
so no matter how u fill...it would be around 30+-L only
*
that's the reason when we fill up the car, full tank is only around RM47 to RM55.
if i not mistaken, the car will use the reserve tank when low fuel warning light up... hmm.gif

FLX CVT users, do anyone of you encounter "jerking", or perhaps i shud say like almost mati engine during idling?
I encountered this problem when I stopped my car beside and let it idling.. =.="

Is this normal??  ohmy.gif

And I noticed that the CVT gearbox wil berjalan dengan lancar ALOT if I turn off the aircon =.="
If switch on aircon, the throttle response not onli slow, sumtimes my engine will vibrate/jerking lagi  doh.gif

yeah, i face that problem too.. when i park my car, i didn't turn off the engine yet, and i preparing my document and bag for my office work inside my car. during the car idle with engine turn on, sometime i can feel the engine jerking (the feel just like the engine wanna turn off)...

QUOTE(mat79 @ Sep 30 2011, 08:12 AM)
hi,newbie here, dont own flx but test driven it for 15 to 20 minutes before. My dad own auto blm 1.3. Me,just plain waja campro n savvy.
Have some foreman sc as friends. When i read the forum,i come across some misunderstanding about L (low gear) in flx. L in flx isnt the same as L in saga auto. L in flx even it means low gear generally, its not really low gear, but low gear ratio.
Low gear ratio means it runs 20 to 30 percent lower than in D mode. For example if in D mode the rpm is 2k,when switch to L,the rev will increase to nearly 2.5k with the same throttle input. Very useful when climbing uphill n overtake.
In D mode also has hill sensing mode feature that will increase the rev around the same figure as in L mode, but it is only for temporary.
But in L mode,it is permanently rev 20 to 30 percent higher than D mode.
So,it is wrongly assume that in L mode the speed is only 25kmh,it actually can go beyond 100kmh but it will affect ur fc.
If u have the opportunity, try to download details of cvt2 from zf which actually used for mini cooper before. But this punch actually an enhance version of cvt2 from zf.
for sat, eventhough it is simulation,it has 6 preset fixed ratio,so it will work as normal at but the feeling is different coz it comes from cvt gearbox, not torque conv gearbox.
So,inconclusion,if u want speed n power in full cvt mode, change to L mode,if want to save fuel n sometimes need power, just stick to D and let the ecu n tcu decide which is suitable for u. Sat a good mode to those are not familiar with full cvt mode, but bear in mind, the fc will tend to be higher since tha ratio is fix.
Dont worry bout auto braking coz this cvt has uphill n downhill sensing mode. Eventhough it is not apparent like in invecs 2 gb as in any other campro engine,it is simply bcoz of cvt behaviour since it will not dramatically change to fix low gear, but gradually drop to lower gear ratio since cvt has infinite number of ratio,so the drop will be seamless or feelingless, but it drop, dun worry.
Hope this info i share from my test drive experience, checking cvt2 manual data sheet from zf n my info by chatting with my friends foreman will benefit flx user.
*
+1... the L doesn't mean Low Gear (as AT) but the L in CVT use as lower ratio... icon_idea.gif
good morning everyone...
